I have been petsitting since I was a teenager and it is something I look forward to doing each time. I am a huge animal person and have been since I was a little kid. Over the years, my mother worked at a wildlife rehabilitation center and was also the director of a cat shelter, which allowed me hands-on interaction that deepened my understanding of the behavior and body language of a wide array of species. I have experience administering oral medication. I have not yet needed to provide meds via injection but I have seen it done many times and would absolutely be capable once given a demonstration. Alongside cats and dogs, I am also experienced in watching reptiles, rodents, arachnids, and fish. Though I have not personally house sat for birds, I have been around them since I was young and am very familiar with their behavior and general needs.
