Pet care fits naturally into my weekly routine since I work part-time as a Nursing Assistant and have a very flexible schedule. I’m home often, which allows me to give pets plenty of attention, walks, structured playtime, and consistent routines. I plan my shifts and errands around the pets I’m caring for so they always get reliable care without long gaps.

Because I have Eli (my friendly 28-lb dachshund mix), I always love to know how your pet does around other dogs. I also like to know their feeding schedule, energy level, social comfort, and any quirks or boundaries they have. If they have triggers, special needs, or things that help them settle in, please share those so I can make sure they feel safe, supported, and as comfortable as possible.
A typical day
A typical day with Eli & I is a balance of fun and relaxation. Throughout the day, I keep pets on their usual feeding schedule and give them plenty of cuddles, companionship and potty breaks. Depending on their energy level, we’ll go on sniff walks, explore dog-friendly spots in Pacifica, or just enjoy fresh air and sunshine together. Inside the home, the vibe is cozy — a safe place to rest (with plenty of chew toys). In the evening, we take another walk, have dinner, and wind down with some gentle play or relaxation before bedtime. Eli is friendly and welcoming, and he’s great at helping pets feel settled and part of the pack.

Hi! I’m Rene — a part-time Nursing Assistant and part-time pet sitter with 10+ years of experience, and I’m almost always accompanied by my 28-lb dachshund mix, Eli, who loves helping me entertain other pups. We make a great duo for pets who enjoy company, playtime, or just having a buddy around. I’ve cared for puppies, seniors, shy pets, energetic breeds, and animals with special routines or medications. My nursing background makes me calm, attentive, and great at keeping pets on schedule and comfortable. I’ve worked with dogs, cats, small animals, and even some farm animals over the years. No matter the pet, I focus on helping them feel safe, loved, and understood. What sets me apart is my patience, communication, and the added comfort of having a friendly dog companion for pets who enjoy social time. Eli and I keep a calm cozy home environment, but we love to be active & go to nearby beaches, trails and parks in Pacifica. We treat every pet like part of our little pack!

I’m always nervous leaving my dog and cat in the care of others. Most people don’t care about them like I do - they aren’t just pets, they’re part of the family. But Rene took all my worries and concerns away — not only did I feel 100% at peace that they were well taken care of, Rene followed every direction I left for her to a T and I truly felt like she loved them as her own while they were in her care. She not only met, but exceeded all expectations — ensuring she met their needs and mine. She was responsive, responsible and even sent updates that kept me in the loop and helped me not miss them as much. Best sitter I’ve ever found in the area — in fact, best sitter I’ve ever had in all the places I’ve ever lived.
