10 Acres of Doggy Heaven
welcome to doggy heaven! 😄. We are now accepting new doggos! The majority of our time is spent with repeat clients and we have lots of land for them to play on, trails to explore and human's that are home to make sure your furry kids are safe and loved as apart of our family. Me and my husband have had several dogs over the last 2 decades and have been through the puppy phase to the needs of mature dogs. Our family currently includes a female Alberta Rescue mix, 13 years old and is gentle teacher and companion for other dogs. We are familiar with regular medication schedules and senior pup needs. We are passionate about animal psychology, training, and understand that like humans, not all dogs are extroverts and might have anxiety when their humans have left for vacation. We work one on one to comfort and build their confidence and have enough space indoors and outdoors to dedicate space to your pup if needed to manage stress on dogs that don’t thrive in big group settings. We are not a kennel and our philosophy is to limit to a few dogs at a time so we are able to give your pup lots of 1:1 love and attention. They are always supervised and dogs generally love and thrive with acreage life! ☺️ We love what we do and genuinely enjoy getting to know each animal in our care to help them thrive and become an extension of our family.

10 Acres of Doggy Heaven with Reina & Justin was certainly one of the best experiences we have had with leaving our two boys in the care of someone else. Their countryside property is beautiful and perfectly suited for our pups, and provided a familiar setting for them. Reina & Justin themselves are incredibly kind folks and gave us great peace of mind. They also seem to be very knowledgeable with dog handling, and gave great communications during the days that we were away. Even though our dogs are not perfect all the time and have one or two behavioural quirks we felt that the dogs were left in caring capable hands! We will definitely be return customers
We were so lucky that Reina and Justin were able to accommodate our two pups while we had to evacuate the Fort Mcmurray wildfire. We have never left our dogs with anyone before and I felt reasurred and comfortable leaving them in Reina and Justins’ care. They sent us lots of updates and videos and the dogs looked like they were having the best time ever running around the acreage and playing with the other dogs. They were treated like family and I'm sure they enjoyed all the cuddles! My four year old also appreciated getting close with the Llamas!!! It was a highlight of her day!! I will definitely use Reina and Justin again and highly recommend them!
Reina & Justin went above and beyond caring for our two big boys! They are animal lovers true & through and they not only watched/tended to the boys but also provided training sessions to keep their body + minds busy. It made me so happy seeing all of the photos & videos that were shared of all the playtime they were having on their beautiful property. I will 10/10 be recommending Reina & Justin to all of my family and friends! They are such lovely people!
Our dog enjoyed his day with Justin. 4 paws up! :) Knowing that Justin and Reina have experience with behavioural issues made us feel confident about leaving our fear-reactive dog with them. Justin was so patient with our dog. He sent multiple pics and a video, which we really appreciated. It put our minds at ease that our dog was settling in well. Justin & Reina's beautiful acreage (bonus llamas!) is a calming spot that allowed our dog wonderful access to nature. We have no hesitation booking again!
Reina and Justin are the best sitters, no one else I would trust when leaving my pup Amo. They go above and beyond to do specific training with Amo and always keep her busy brain entertained (and send me regular videos to keep my updated on her progress). The socialization aspect is also great, so Amo can make new friends and get tired out with the other dogs they have. For anyone seeking a structured environment for their dog, especially a dog with any special needs when it comes to training, I highly suggest their services!
I highly recommend Reina and Justin as pet sitters. They have many years of experience with pets of all shapes and sizes and are patient and intuitive when it comes to their needs. I wouldn't hesitate to leave my furry friends with them.

Schedule
We both work at home. Justin is a carpenter who works out of the shop over the winter and I am an engineering that works from home other than the occasional business trip. The pups have access to the outdoor anytime they desire. In addition to physical excersize we also provide one on one game time with positive rewards to build confidence and connection.

Safety, trust & environment
We have 10 acres of trees, pond and pasture to play on. For stays longer than 4 days we ask that we do a meet and greet. Reactive dogs are absolutely welcome.
Pets
A typical day
We can provide several outdoor play sessions/walks a day, but can can adjust the amount of activity based on energy level and health especially for our senior friends who can get sore joints. The daily perimeter walks of our property are always fun and jam packed with new things. They can also spend the day outside and many dogs quickly become our side kicks out on our hobby llama ranch. We usually spend the evenings to give one on one attention to your pup, be it snuggles or brain games.
