Availability
I work from home full time as a freelancer and take on only a limited number of pet sitting clients. As a freelancer, I have a flexible schedule and often am available to do last minute walks and visits for established clients. For overnights, this means I'm often around during the day, too. (See "Describe a typical day" below for details on what's included with Overnight pet sitting.) A meet and greet is always *required* for all new clients before confirming a booking! That way we can both confirm I'm a good fit for you and your pets. Drop ins and midday walks are only available in a limited area. I offer overnights from La Mesa to La Jolla, so please ask!

I provide care in your home, so your pets can stay happy in their familiar, comfortable environment and keep to their routine as much as possible. During visits, I follow your routines and instructions precisely to maintain consistency and minimize stress for your pets. For overnight stays, I'm there to provide companionship during evening and morning hours, plus any needed medications or care. During midday visits, your pets get the attention, exercise, and care they need when you can't be there. I pay attention to any changes in your pet's behavior or health and will contact you immediately if I notice anything concerning. Safety is a top priority. I keep doors secure, double-check that gates are latched, and always ensure your home is properly locked when leaving. I treat your home with respect - leaving everything exactly as I found it and following any specific household instructions you provide. For your peace of mind, I work closely with another licensed and bonded full-time pet sitter who serves as an emergency backup. Should anything unexpected happen to me, you can rest assured that your pets will still receive excellent care.
Information Regan C. would like to know about your pet
Every pet is different. During our meet-and-greet, I'll ask lots of questions about your furry family members and their routines, like what they like and don't like, what they're scared of, how they are with strangers, where they like to hide, whether they like to escape, what sort of commands your dog knows, or are they picky about their food?
A typical day
Keeping your pets happy, comfortable, and on their usual routine is my top priority! Every visit includes essentials like fresh water, food, and any medication they might need. For dogs, depending on their schedule, we’ll go on a walk or take a break in the yard, and playing, practicing some training or just hanging out together. For cats, I’ll scoop the litter box and sweep around the box, and then play with their favorite toys, give them a good brush or talk quietly to them while they hide out. Overnights are based on 14 hours (roughly 6pm-8am, but there’s some flexibility, so let’s talk about what you need). We take a good walk when I arrive, have dinner and then I’ll hang out with them in the evening, playing or just sitting on the couch, with breaks in the yard when they need it. I’ll keep to whatever your regular sleeping arrangements are, whether they like to bed down in their crate or cozy up on the bed. In the morning after an outdoor break or a short walk, I’ll give them breakfast and then I’ll start my own day. Need a different routine? Just let me know! As a WFH professional, I will make your home my home-base during the time you’re away, so I *may* be around quite a bit during the day, but not always. If your fur-baby needs a mid-day break (or two) we’ll schedule that as an add-on. For overnights or mid-day visits when you’re out of town, I can bring in the mail, water the house plants, turn on the sprinklers, and take out the bins on garbage day. Of course, I send updates and photos so you’re connected and know they’re in good hands. We’ll cover all the exact details during our meet-and-greet. Some cats want lots of pets, while others prefer to hide under the bed! If they aren't the shy type we might chase their favorite toy around the living room or get a nice brush-out. On longer stays, sometime they just like having someone nearby while they nap. Of course, every visit includes the basics - fresh water, meals, daily clean up of the litter box or yard, and any medications they need. I'll send you photos and updates so you can see how your pets are doing.

Trusted care for furry friends
Pet care experience
For over 20 years, I’ve been providing exceptional pet care for energetic puppies, cats that hide under the bed, picky eaters, rescues with quirky habits, seniors who need medical care—and regular family pets! I’ll make sure your furry family members are comfortable, happy, loved and cared for when you can’t be there. For overnights, I work in most neighborhoods along either side I-8 between Ocean Beach & Del Cerro, plus Bay Park, Clairemont, some areas of Pacific Beach, and south to Banker's Hill. (Feel free to inquire for neighborhoods slightly outside that range.) I have experience giving medication, including insulin shots and sub-cu fluids, and I'm no stranger to the line-up of pill boxes! I used to share my life with an English Bulldog, so I know all about the special needs of our smush-faced (brachycephalic) friends from allergies to temperature sensitivities to their own brand of stubborn. I've also taken care of a 20-year-old Yorkie, a pair of former show-dog standard poodles, and a Greyhound rescue who was confused by stairs—not to mention everyone's favorite family pets like Labs, Golden Retrievers, Beagles and Doodles. I’m a reliable, responsible and trustworthy adult who also works as a freelance marketing professional. I also carry liability insurance for my pet sitting business. Get in touch and let's talk about what your pets need! (See "Describe a typical day" below for details on what's included with Overnight pet sitting.) **PS — If you have more than TWO pets, there may be an additional charge for more than two dogs or more than three pets.

Reviews

Regan did an amazing job taking care of my three cats. She was extremely careful, attentive, and followed all of my instructions perfectly. She always responded quickly to my messages and kept me updated, letting me know if anything was needed and about them. In addition to their daily care, she took the time to play with the cats and made sure they were comfortable and happy. I truly appreciated her dedication and reliability. I highly recommend Regan to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter!

Regan did a great job caring for our cat, Buggies. She's a true professional!

We had a great experience leaving our two doggos in Regan's care for a little more than a week. She communicated very well, and gave updates every evening with pictures of the dogs. She took good care of our home too, and even laundered the linens, which was not necessary at all. We highly recommend Regan.

We had a really nice meet and greet with Regan, and our dogs warmed up to her quickly. She did a nice walk with them, and we trust them to her care.
