I am self employed, so my work schedule changes significantly from week to week. Some days I am able to work from home, while others I work in Lancaster or Myerstown. If I am sitting an overnight for you, I will never be gone longer than 8 hours. If your animal needs more frequent care, we can discuss further how we can work around my schedule to fit your needs.

If I’ll be sitting in your home, I’m flexible and detail oriented. I’m ready to listen to yours and your animal’s needs to make this the best experience possible for you both. I frequently house sit for my clients and have always gotten positive feedback. I give frequent updates, stay in constant contact with you about how the stay is going, and take tons of photos! I pride myself on leaving a house I’ve stayed in exactly the way my clients have left it! If your animal visits my place, my energetic husky/elkhound mix, Aspen, loves to make new friends! I live with my fiancé and his brother so your furry family member will receive plenty of attention and love. While I do not have a fenced in yard I can provide walks and even hikes to meet your dog’s needs. I do have cats who are acclimated to dogs but I ask that your know your dog is pet friendly (or a puppy) before inquiring! I have experience with crate training as well.

I would like to know a few things before sitting your dog, especially if using doggie day care or boarding services: Is your dog/cat okay with children? Is your dog/cat vaccinated? Is your dog crate trained? Is your dog/cat on any flea/tick medication? Is your dog/cat micro-chipped? Does your dog/cat have any health issues I should know about? (i.e. allergies, worms, arthritis, depression etc.) Does your dog/cat get along with cats/dogs? Has your dog/cat ever bitten anyone? Does your dog/cat have separation anxiety? Does your dog bark excessively? It is important that I know the answers to these questions before working with your pet so I can prepare properly.

I'd love to go hiking with your dog. I’d be willing to take your dog on a fun day outing if you’re interested. I can offer grooming for long haired dogs and cats as well as nail trims for both at an additional cost. I’ll take any special requests for playtime or activities! I am experienced with elderly animals and medication regiments.

I have been trained in animal emergency techniques, medicine administration, and positive behavioral reinforcement, so you can always have peace of mind when you leave your animal with me. I love working with dogs, cats, exotics, farm animals, and wildlife. I have a Nissan Rogue equipped for transporting if necessary, the perfect set up for any size pet. I’ve taken my furry clients on fun day outings like hikes, if that’s something you’re interested in - we’ll have a blast! Some animals I've had extensive experience with are elderly dogs, puppies, elderly cats, kittens, chinchillas, hamsters, guinea pigs, mice, rats, tarantulas, parakeets, cockatiels, parrots, finches, snakes, bearded dragons, freshwater fish, chickens, cows, horses, raptors and more.
