With our flexible work arrangements, my fiancé and I are fortunate to have ample time and availability to provide dedicated care for pups. While I work in a hybrid setting, allowing me to be home for a significant portion of the week, my fiancé has the luxury of working from home. This setup ensures that there is always someone present to attend to the needs of our furry friends. From fulfilling their physical needs to engaging in playtime and showering them with affectionate cuddles, we have the freedom and flexibility to devote quality time to each fur baby. Their well-being and happiness are our top priorities, and our flexible schedules allow us to be fully present and attentive guardians for their every need.

Safety, trust & environment

Ensuring the safety of fur babies in my home is of utmost importance to me. I have implemented several measures to create a secure environment for them. The fenced-in yard features a gated entrance, providing a protected space for them to play and explore. Inside the house, a robust security system and cameras offer an additional layer of protection and peace of mind. For added security and convenience, there is a pet door that can be locked when needed. If preferred, I can also provide kenneling options at night or when running quick errands to ensure their safety. With doggie gates on each floor of my three-story house, I have the capability to separate pups if necessary. Your fur baby's safety and well-being are my top priorities, so please let me know about any specific needs or concerns such as aggressive chewing, allergies, or anxiety. By understanding their unique requirements, I can tailor the environment to provide the utmost comfort and security for your beloved furry companion.

Information Rebekah R. would like to know about your pet

Before taking care of a dog, it is crucial to gather important information about them to ensure their well-being and provide the best care possible. First and foremost, it is important to know if the dog has any known allergies or specific dietary requirements to avoid potential health issues. Additionally, having emergency contacts, including the owner's contact information and a backup contact, is essential in case of any unforeseen circumstances or emergencies. Having access to the dog's veterinary information, such as the name and contact details of their regular veterinarian, is crucial for immediate medical assistance if needed. Understanding the dog's potty training routine is important to ensure their needs are met appropriately. Whether they are trained to use the bathroom outside or on puppy pads, being aware of their preferred method helps in providing a consistent and comfortable environment for them. Knowing if the dog is crate trained is valuable information as it allows for safe confinement when necessary, such as during transportation or when it's time for rest. Understanding if the dog experiences anxiety or any triggers that may cause stress is important to provide a calming and supportive environment. This knowledge enables the caregiver to take proactive measures to alleviate anxiety and promote the dog's overall well-being. If the dog is an aggressive chewer, it's crucial to know which toys are safe and durable for them to play with, avoiding any potential hazards or ingestion of harmful materials. Understanding the dog's feeding schedule and portion sizes ensures that their nutritional needs are met appropriately and they maintain a healthy diet.

A typical day

As a dog lover and caregiver, I always strive to make the days with the dogs I watch as fun-filled as possible. Throughout the day, we engage in various enjoyable activities. After waking up around 5:30 am for potty breaks and breakfast, we kick-start the day with some high-energy playtime. We play games like fetch and tuggawar, allowing the dogs to burn off their morning zoomies. Following the play session, we all take a relaxing morning nap to recharge for the day ahead. To keep the atmosphere lively, I make sure to play doggie music on the TV throughout the day. This helps create a joyful environment and keeps the dogs entertained. We also spend time in the backyard, going in and out for potty breaks and enjoying the sunshine to soak up some vitamin D. In the afternoon, around 3 pm, we embark on a refreshing walk around Reunion Coffee Shop pond. This provides a change of scenery and an opportunity for the dogs to explore new smells and sights. Treats are always on hand during our walks, and we make sure to have snuggle sessions along the way to show them some extra love and affection. As evening approaches, typically between 5 pm and 6:30 pm, it's dinner time for the dogs. They are served a nutritious meal to keep them healthy and satisfied. Throughout the day, we also indulge in some Netflix time, snuggling up on the couch together, creating a cozy and comforting environment. Finally, bedtime varies between 9:30 pm and 10:30 pm, depending on the energy levels of the dogs. If they still have some energy left, we may engage in a calming activity to wind down before sleep. Ultimately, my goal is to ensure that the dogs have a fun and fulfilling day filled with love, playtime, treats, and plenty of opportunities for rest and relaxation.

Pet care experience

My pet sitting experience is a culmination of a lifelong love for animals, particularly dogs. With a fur baby as a constant companion throughout my life, caring for and understanding their needs has become second nature to me. I am deeply passionate about dogs and even volunteer with two rescues in Colorado, which led to the adoption of one of my beloved fur babies. Located in Reunion CO, just a short 12-minute drive from the airport, my home is a haven for pets. We have a secure and fenced-in yard, complete with a locked gate and a convenient pet door. With three floors for the furry guests to explore, there is plenty of space for them to roam and play. Through my own experience, I have successfully trained my own puppies, teaching them an array of tricks such as sit, lay down, pick a boo, play dead, and more. Your fur babies will not only feel safe and comfortable in our cozy abode but will also have a blast during their staycation. IG: thewrightretreat_co

Best review you can give is how your dogs behave to go to pet caregiver. Both pups are always excited to be dropped off and tired when they come home. Bekah is also very communicative and easy to work with. Happy pups equals less stressful trips.

Our chihuahua, Milo LOVES the Wright Retreat! Rebekah takes care of pups like they’re her own and you never have to worry about them. She sends daily updates, pictures and is always available if you randomly want to check on your babe! Couldn’t ask for a better caretaker for our furry friend. Thanks, Rebekah!! ♥️

Rebekah has been amazing with my dog! She bonded with him instantly and has provided excellent care to him. I have no worries when he is with her and he gets so excited when I tell him he will get to see her that day! I highly recommend her to to doggie sit to everyone who loves their doggie as much as I do because she will love them like her own!!
