Pet care experience

All Fur Babies Welcome!

I’ve loved dogs for as long as I can remember — I even started a little dog-walking gig in my neighborhood when I was just 8! By 15, I finally got my own pup, a super energetic escape artist who kept me on my toes and taught me so much about safety and patience. These days, I share life with my 4-year-old Irish Wolfhound, who I’ve been helping become less reactive through positive reinforcement. I’m a big believer in using treats, toys, and encouragement to build trust and keep dogs happy. When your pup is with me, they’ll be cared for like one of my own — safe, loved, and spoiled with attention.

House Sitting • Oct 04, 2025

The minute I met Rebekah, I could see she loves animals, and that put me instantly at ease. One of our cats is extremely shy and nervous, especially around women, and I told Rebekah that she would probably run and hide when she entered our house. The first day Rebekah dropped in to feed them, she captured a photo of our nervous cat, lying very comfortably on the couch, inaffected by Rebekah’s presence, and didn’t run away at all! Rebekah called it “a win” and I agree with her! Our cats were very content when we got home, and I think that’s because of Rebekah’s lovely nature. Animals just “know” when they feel safe with certain humans, and it showed with Rebekah. She followed all our instructions and we will definitely book her again.

Rebekah watched our cat while we are out of town. She was reliable and did a great job, making sure we retuned to a happy kitten!

Rebekah has personally helped me care for two animals; one a foster dog named Luna (a pitbull/black lab mix) and and an American medium fur black cat named Void. I have also seen her time and time again put her own dog first (leaving functions early to take care of her dog, having a schedule she sticks to for her animal companions, prioritizing places/people that allow animals, ect…). She is an animal lover through and through and you would be lucky to have her care for your pet(s)!

Hello. I have known Rebekah for over 6 years now. What I have come to learn about her is that she is by far one of the kindest souls that I have ever met. She is observant, conscientious and goes out of her way to make sure her people AND their animals are cared for. All of this adds up to one great pupper mama! Her fur baby (Mr. ***) is forever going on walks, hikes to lakes (he's a furry seal in disguise I believe....) and in general is the biggest cuddle bug who knows he is loved thanks to his Mama Rebekah. She's a good egg if you ask me. I could go on all day, but I will end with this.... She will.love your fur baby as if it were her own.

Calendar and availability

Schedule

I’m a college student at CMC, so I’m in class for about 4.5 hours a week. Another 4.5 hours I’m working or attending classes over Zoom, so I’m still available to check in on your pet during those times. I also work at a local restaurant, but my shifts are typically 5 hours or less, so your pet will never be left alone for long. I’m happy to work with you to create a schedule that keeps your furry family member safe, happy, and well cared for.

Where your pet will stay

Safety, trust & environment

I believe in creating a safe, loving, and fun environment for every pet in my care. Daily exercise is important, so I take dogs on regular walks — mostly on well-populated trails to avoid any encounters with wildlife. I always make sure pets are secure and can’t escape, whether inside or outside. I use only positive reinforcement with treats, toys, and praise, so every animal feels happy, confident, and loved while they’re with me.

Pets

A typical day

A day with me usually starts with a potty break and breakfast, followed by a morning walk to stretch legs and get some fresh air. After that, we come home to relax — I’ll do homework or other tasks while your pup rests nearby. Later in the day, we might go on a hike, visit a lake, or explore the local trails for some fun adventure. Evenings are for winding down with another walk and some cuddles or playtime before settling in for a cozy night.

Things I’d Like to Know Ahead of Time To make sure I give your pet the best care possible, it helps to know a few things ahead of time: Are they food or toy motivated? How much exercise they usually get each day. Any special needs or medical requirements. How they get along with other dogs. Anything that scares or stresses them — for example, my own dog is afraid of kids, so I try to prevent triggers whenever possible. Knowing these details helps me keep your furry family member happy, safe, and comfortable while they’re in my care.
