Safety, trust & environment

At home, I offer a safe and secure environment for pets. We have a beautiful, fenced-in yard on our .75-acre property, with plenty of space for dogs to explore and enjoy. There are lots of walking areas, so your dog can stretch their legs and get some fresh air. All dogs are welcome into our home, and we also have indoor/outdoor cats who are accustomed to sharing space with pups. I’m comfortable working with dogs of all temperaments and behaviors, providing personalized care for each one. Our days are relaxed, with plenty of time for naps and quiet moments. We enjoy early morning or late evening walks, allowing your dog to get the exercise and attention they need while keeping things calm and comfortable.

A typical day

A typical day includes several explorations around our yard, with plenty of opportunities for dogs to roam and sniff. I also love exploring the neighborhood, walking the greenway, or hiking local trails, making sure each adventure is full of fun and new sights. I always have tasty, rewarding treats on hand and enjoy incorporating brain games to keep things engaging for the pets in my care. Animals are my peacekeepers, and I truly enjoy spending time with them. They have a wonderful way of reminding me to slow down, take things one step at a time, and appreciate the simple joys of the day.

Pet care experience

Looking for a dog lover to care for your dog(s)? Whether you're heading out of town or just need someone to watch your dog while you explore Luray, I’ve got you covered. My space is perfect for pets, and I truly understand dogs and their needs. With years of experience, including obedience, nosework, rally, and agility training with my Treeing Walker Coonhounds, I’m passionate about giving dogs the care they deserve. We often enjoy hiking together in the Shenandoah Valley, and I love keeping my dog mentally and physically engaged. Your pet will get plenty of play, exercise, and attention during our time together, leaving them happy and tired by the end of the day. Whether it’s feeding, playing, or taking them on adventures, your dog will be in good hands with me.

We dropped off our 5 month old lab so we could raft the Shenandoah River. Rebekah stayed in contact with us prior to the drop off and throughout the day. She provided pictures of him playing in her fenced in yard and with her two friendly dogs. We know our puppy had a get time with a lot of playing because he was exhausted and sleep very well that afternoon and night. We highly recommend Rebekah and will certainly use her services when we are in the Luray area again.

Rebekah was amazing and our sweet Kobi enjoyed every bit of it. Thank you so much for the last minute request to take care of her! My husband and I truly appreciate it.

Rebekah was really caring and checked in often, especially since my dog fell ill when I was out of town. I really appreciated that.
