Pet care experience

Caring, active dog lover!

I’ve grown up with dogs and have spent most of my life sharing a home with at least one. I was raised around larger breeds, and now I have my lovely cockapoo, Douglas. Hes great around other dogs. I also have plenty of experience dog‑sitting, so I’m very comfortable caring for dogs with different personalities and needs. My husband Jamie will also be helping with the care-giving, he has also grown up around dogs and has experience dog sitting. We’re an active family, your dog will be taken for walks twice a day unless less is necessary or its too hot. They’ll also receive lots of cuddles, attention, and company throughout the day. You will receive lots of photo and text updates to make you feel comfortable. We are very happy to take multiple dogs from the same family, and would consider taking additional dogs.

Rebecca has been absolutely amazing! From our first meeting where she gave us all the information we needed we knew Aston would be in great hands. Communication was brilliant with daily pupdates on how Aston was getting on and pictures of his walks and antics. Special thank you for being so accommodating!

Cooper had a brilliant time on his holiday with Rebecca and her family. She was extremely welcoming and attentive to his needs. Our pre meet was extremely helpful and gave us an opportunity to ask lots of questions beforehand. She provided daily updates as agreed with photos and short videos of his time there. This gave us peace of mind he was enjoying himself whilst we were away. Messages are responded to quickly and she was very flexible with pick up/drop off times and also with activities for dog walking based on the weather during a mini heat wave. Rebecca lives near a nature park so Cooper thoroughly enjoyed his daily walks exploring and getting out into the open fields along with her own Cockapoo Douglas who was very friendly. We would highly recommend Rebecca and no doubt Cooper will be back for more holidays in the future.

One word : WOW! We travelled from Cumbria to Rebecca to look after our dog Ronnie and we absolutely will travel to Rebecca again in the future! Ronnie absolutely had the time of his life with Rebecca and she was amazing! She kept in contact sending lots of updates and Ronnie literally had the best time! So much so he was grumpy with us for the entire day when we got him home! Thank you so much Rebecca! Xx

Rebecca was absolutely fantastic. I cannot recommend her enough. She was very thorough in the meet and greet and asked lots of questions about Maisie’s care. She allowed me to view her home so I could see where Maisie would be staying and Maisie fell in love with the garden and their wonderful dog. Throughout the booking I have received lots of updates with messages, photos and videos. I have never left Maisie before in a kennel or a strangers home so this was something I was nervous about. However, I felt at ease straight away seeing how comfortable and happy she looked. Seems like Maisie has found a second home! Cannot thank you enough!

Really happy with the way Rebecca looked after our Reuben. He’s a proper family pet so wouldn’t have settled in a kennels. With Rebecca it felt like he was just i seamlessly transferred from one loving family home into another. Looking to book another stay.

Schedule

I currently work part‑time with the flexibility to work from home, which means I have plenty of time to give your dog lots of attention and care. We have a large, secure garden that your dog can enjoy whenever they like, and there’s a beautiful nature park right across the road where I walk my own dog daily. Your dog would be walked twice a day when staying with us, and I am happy to discuss exactly what your dog needs. As a family, we often visit Saltwell Park for longer walks, and we’d be delighted to bring your dog along too. I’m available for boarding every day of the week and am more than happy to meet in person beforehand so you can feel confident and comfortable. My husband will be helping with the caregiving, meaning your pet will get plenty of attention from us.

Home characteristics

Lives in a house
Has a fenced yard
Non-smoking household
Has 1 dog
Children 0-5 years old
Dogs not allowed on bed

Safety, trust & environment

My garden is fully fenced and very secure, and there’s an additional front fence to keep dogs safe at all times. I’m happy to crate your dog in the evenings if that’s part of their routine, but they’re just as welcome to have free roam of the house if you prefer. Our home is also monitored by CCTV cameras all day. I will send regular updates through the day with photos attached.

Pets

A typical day

Your dog starts the day with a quick trip into the garden, followed by a refreshing morning walk around the nature park. On some days, we hop in the car and head to Saltwell Park for a couple of hours of exploring, sniffing, and stretching our legs. After the morning outing, your dog will have regular toilet breaks, plenty of playtime, and lots of attention throughout the day. A second walk happens later on. Feeding is always done according to your dog’s usual schedule, so their routine stays consistent and comfortable. In hot weather circumstances dogs are usually walked once early in the day.

Please let me know your dog's exercise routine and we will try to stick to it. I would also appreciate it if you could tell me what time of day your dog is fed and how many treats they’re allowed to have each day. Lastly, I kindly ask that all dogs staying with us are up to date with their flea treatment to help prevent any outbreaks in the home. Dogs must also be up to date with their vaccinations and I would need to see evidence of this.
