I’m a high school teacher and will be on summer break starting May 23. With my flexible summer schedule, I’m excited to dedicate my time to caring for pets while families travel or need extra help during the day. I’ll be available for drop-ins, walks, or boarding throughout the week, and I look forward to giving your pets lots of attention, playtime, and care while you’re away.

Safety, trust & environment

In your home, I’m respectful of your space and careful to lock up securely, clean up after myself and your pet, and provide updates with photos and notes. If your pet is staying with me (boarding), they’ll have a quiet, pet-friendly space with plenty of supervision, affection, and playtime. I always keep pets on-leash during walks, avoid crowded or unsafe areas, and watch closely for any signs of stress or discomfort. Your pet’s well-being matters deeply to me, and I’ll treat them as if they were my own. At my apartment we have one Service animal Monarch, a German Shoahrd / lab mix. Monarch loves showing other dogs how to play with toys. And a Yorkie Terroer/ Chihuahua named Birdie that suffers from anxiety.

Information Rebecca S. would like to know about your pet

Yes! It helps me provide the best care possible if I know the following ahead of time: Is your dog house trained? Do they have any bad habits (chewing furniture or shoes, accidents inside, etc.)? How do they behave around other dogs or animals? Do they have any medical needs, allergies, or fears (like loud noises or strangers)? If I’m house sitting overnight, I’ll need to bring my own dog—a 10 lb, house-trained Chihuahua-Terrier mix. She has separation anxiety, so I try not to soend more than 1 night away from her at a time. It's important to know if your dog is comfortable around other small dogs. For boarding, I also want to know your pet’s daily routine, crate training status, and anything else that helps them feel comfortable and safe in a new environment.

A typical day

If your pet stays with me, they’ll enjoy a mix of relaxation, play, and gentle structure throughout the day. In the mornings, we take peaceful walks through Forsyth Park or nearby Daffin—especially great for smaller dogs. I also have multiple pet carriers for pups who need a bit of extra support on outings. At home, there’s a fenced-in dog park right at my apartment where dogs can run, play, and socialize safely. Indoors, Birdie and Monarch love to patrol the living room window and watch the parking lot activity it’s a favorite hangout spot for visiting pups too! Meals are served on schedule breakfast at 7am and dinner at 7pm. If necessay, dogs can be seperated. The rest of the day includes lounging and naps on the sofa while I work from home, with plenty of cuddles and attention in between. I also offer help with crate training using either a large or small crate, depending on your dog’s needs. Your pet will be treated like family and cared for in a calm, clean, and loving home!

Rebecca was amazing and on very short notice. She took care of our two dogs perfectly with quick responses and detailed updates. We really appreciated her help looking after our two boys for the week and will be rebooking her in the future!

I wouldn’t recommend hiring this person. They did not show up at the times they were supposed to, take care of my pets the way they were supposed to, or stay for the full length of time I paid them to. So if you want someone to do any of those things I would not book them. Thankfully I got a refund.

We were very happy with Rebecca. She kept us informed and sent pictures assuring us that all was going well. And it was good to know that Esme got along with her dog. We would definitely use her again and would recommend her to our friends.
