Safety, trust & environment

Aside from being well trained on dogs/cats body language, my main goal is always to gain the pets trust with the understanding that I am in their home. When it comes to pets with more medical needs, making sure that the medication is timely and properly administered plus properly stored.

Information Rebecca P. would like to know about your pet

Important items I would like to know about your fur baby; daily routines, typical feedings (any additions to the food, do they have a command to eat, free feeding, etc), their favorite things to do as far as play, favorite treats and petting spots, if they resource guard, how are they on a leash (don’t be embarrassed, my dog gets leash aggressive) and also what are the things they absolutely do not like (for example; if they do not like their ears or face pet)

A typical day

Stimulation physically and mentally are important for not only us humans but your pets too! This could look different for all different personalities, some dogs get their stimulation from a long walk in a new environment with all different smells, some cats like their stimulation with a feather toy and running around the house pretending to hunt. All different interest, and all types of interactions.

Pet care experience

I am well rounded on all life stages and energy levels. I have been working with animals for about 10 years, starting in a daycare as a kennel tech then as a dog handler, moved over to the medical side of animal care as a veterinary assistant for 2 years before becoming a veterinary technician and a surgical nurse, then moved into emergency room settings. So if you have an elderly pet or a pet with high medical needs, booking with me will give peace of mind that your loved one is being properly taken care of.

Rebecca is an awesome sitter that prioritizes the comfort and routines of your animals. She connected w all of our dogs upon meeting them, and it was clear that they trusted her to care for them while we were away. She was great about keeping in touch and sending pics when we were missing our babies! Judging by the pics, they all had a lot of fun :) Def recommend, and hope to book her again in the future!

Certainly cliche but a defining characteristic of Rebecca would be her immense love and connection with animals. I have witnessed her give the same love and attention to all of her own wide range of animals no matter what their needs are and it definitely extends to every animal and anyone she meets. She is much more than capable, she is adept, know that you are in good hands.

Rebecca is an incredible person with animals in general. She has something I haven't seen before but all animals are drawn to her. Specially dogs love her. She is firm but lovely and gentle with dogs and other animals. She has always done a great job with my dog Bella.
