Safety, trust & environment
I have a fenced-in front yard and a grown, spayed, female Husky that loves to play. She is aggressive around her food, but I keep her separated during feeding time, as I do with most dogs. I take up to 3 or 4 dogs at a time, which may or may not include my own, and have two living rooms, a finished basement, a sunroom, and a dining room in which the dogs can be separated if/when needed.

Information Rebecca P. would like to know about your pet
**Most of these should already be in your dog's profile information, but I'll have you double check here, too :) ) - Is the dog house-trained? (More than 50% of the dogs that come to my house are "house-trained" but still have accidents - either from separation anxiety, new environment, excitement with other dogs that I'm boarding, etc.) - Does the dog get along with other dogs? (I have a dog, and I am usually dogsitting other dogs - up to 3 or 4, plus or minus my own.) - Does the dog need to be crated at any time? (i.e. when I'm out running errands, while I'm sleeping, etc.) - Does the dog chew on things when not attended? Do I need to dog-proof my house - put away all food/treats in a secured area? (No worries if the answer is "yes" - I have plenty of space - I just need to know ahead of time since I leave things out because Sasha doesn't attempt to get into anything.) - Is the dog allergic to anything? (i.e. dog shampoo, certain dog foods/treats... etc) - Is there anything the dog is not allowed to have? (I don't feed any dog any human food, but should the dog only be allowed to have the food and treats its owner brings for the dog?) - I have a lot of dog bowls, leashes, and a few crates (1-XL crate and 2 L crates). Feel free to leave yours at home/with you. Please feel free to bring any treats, blankets, bed, etc. that might make your pup feel more comfortable in his/her home away from home. - Please make sure your dog(s) is/are flea & tick treated. Even though I haven't had any problems in the past, I cannot promise every dog I care for will be flea & tick-free, so I encourage you to keep your dog(s) safe! On a similar note, please ensure your dogs are up to date on other preventative care measures such as rabies, heartworm, worms, etc. - My home is your dog's home. Please keep your dog(s) and it's belongings clean, healthy, groomed etc.
A typical day
Dog activities: - Walks and/or jogs around the residential neighborhood (this is included with boarding) - Training/reinforcement training sessions with treats (unless otherwise advised) Other things to note: - Please check my rates for other services such as baths, extra walks, pick-up/drop-off etc. - If you would like to refer me to another dog owner, please let them know to go to my profile and ask for my promo code (Rover doesn't allow me to share that here). I don't get any reward (other than a new client), but they will get $20 off their first booking!

Dog whisperer!
Pet care experience
My name is Rebecca. I am an IT professional and Realtor and I work remotely during the day and go to class at night. My mom now lives with me and partners with me to watch my guest dogs while I'm in class. I used to want to be a vet, but couldn't imagine having to put an animal down, so I went a different route with my career. I have been a dog owner for 20+ years (We'll just leave it at that before I reveal my youthful age.) A while after my dog, Nala, passed away, I accepted a furry husky (Sasha) that needed a new home - via a Rover client! I believe that dogs need as much exercise as possible, especially if they are indoor dogs, and I love to walk/jog. I am a firm believer that dogs should be treated like dogs, not like humans - i.e. need to be well-trained as a dog, and I am pretty good at that! However, that's not to say that I don't spoil my dog or other dogs from time to time :) I don't typically let animals on my furniture, but it happens. Exceptions can be made - Nala used to sneak on the sofas when I was away and I let her cuddle with me when she's not feeling well :) I am not intimidated by aggressive dogs or any breed of dogs, big or small. We just need to show them who's boss and let them know where their place is! I have cared for Great Pyrenees, Pit Bulls, Rottweilers, etc. and even the tiny ones with big attitudes :) I love dogs more than I do humans a lot of the time, and will be pleased to take care of yours! Please read my entire profile, as there may be answers to potential questions you may have! If you're unsure of tipping etiquette, mine is quite simple - please leave a good review if you appreciated my services and your pup had a great time under my care! If you have concerns, please communicate that with me, or if you prefer to voice your concerns in a review, I believe in full transparency, too!
Reviews

Rebecca is such a wonderful sitter for our Roxy. Very accommodating, and sent us some updates during the stay. We're so glad we booked her!

Rebecca was great, she was communicative, friendly on time and I truly felt like Poppy was being cared for while I was away. I would absolutely trust her to care for Poppy again.

Rebecca did an amazing job taking care of Olaf & Pinky! She kept us updated, and it was clear they were happy and well cared for the entire time. We came back to two very content pups, and that says everything. Highly recommend her—5 stars all the way!

Rebecca was super kind and confident. Lady was well taken care of! Even with Lady taking daily meds there were no issues. We were gone for over a week but we knew Lady was in great hands. We are definitely using her again!
