As a pet sitter, it's important for me to understand your dog’s health and medical needs, including any allergies, conditions, or medications they may require, as well as their feeding schedule and dietary restrictions. I also take the time to get to know their behavior and temperament, including any fears or triggers that might affect their comfort. I make sure to follow their daily routine, including exercise, feeding times, and specific habits, to maintain consistency. Additionally, I ensure I have emergency contacts, such as your veterinarian and a backup contact, and know where to find your dog's medical records and supplies. Lastly, I respect any house rules or boundaries to ensure your dog feels secure and comfortable while you're away!
A typical day
If it was up to me, our day would start with a morning walk to ensure the dog gets some fresh air and exercise right off the bat. After breakfast and some downtime, we head to the local park for a fun-filled adventure. Here, I closely observe the dog's body language to make sure they are comfortable and enjoying themselves, whether they're playing fetch or socializing with other dogs. After some playtime, we make a stop at Starbucks for a special treat—a pup cup—to reward good behavior and add a little extra joy to their day. The afternoon might involve more play or a leisurely walk, always tuned into the dog's needs and energy levels. Throughout the day, I provide plenty of attention, belly rubs, and affection to ensure the dog feels loved and happy.
