When I was a teenager we had 2 springer spaniels and I took an active part in their training and care. I prided myself on having two well trained dogs who would heel without a lead and wouldn't leave my sight at a festival! Currently I have two cats, who are (relatively) well behaved, and for whom I am the primary caregiver. I am comfortable with all pleasant and unpleasant aspects of animal care, and am happy to walk, play, poop scoop, flea, nail clip, vomit scrub - whatever is needed. I do have experience training dogs and puppies with general commands, and I am interested in (have researched) agility training for when I am able to have a dog of my own. I will happily enforce or build upon (if desired) whatever training you already have in place with your pet. Whatever your furbaby needs I am comfortable to provide as I would my own :)

Safety, trust & environment
Whether I am visiting or house sitting, I will always be respectful of your home and belongings, cleaning up any messes and ensuring security is maintained when I leave. I will care for your animals with the same love and attention with which I care for my own. Interactions with your animal will depend on what they like - If your dog is ball-mad, we will have many throwing sessions. If they are scent-driven, I will make sure we spend time walking in locations with varied trails. For your cat, I will determine if they are a birder or mouser (do they like their wand toys in the air or on the floor going round corners) and adapt my playstyle for their preference. If they just need some love, we can do that too.

Becca did a fantastic job looking after our cat. She was patient, attentive, and very respectful of his space, which made a huge difference. Everything was exactly as we’d hoped when we returned home, and it was clear he’d been well cared for. We’d happily recommend her to other pet owners.
Becca was absolutely wonderful with our dog. She was calm, reliable, and clearly took the time to understand his routine and personality. We felt completely at ease knowing he was in such caring hands, and the updates were really reassuring. We wouldn’t hesitate to book her again.

Schedule
Currently I am a PhD student at Cardiff University, so my schedule is relatively flexible. I am comfortable providing morning, afternoon or evening visits or walks on weekdays and weekends as is required.
