I work remotely and part-time, allowing plenty of flexibility to put the pets' needs first. Meals, meds, walks, and playtime need to happen when they need to happen!

As a foster with Saving Great Animals, I'm familiar with proper leashing protocols and the additional safety measures you need to take when caring for a dog you're less familiar with. I don't wear headphones while walking so I can keep an ear out for cars, animals, and other street hazards. At home, I have a fully fenced yard for supervised outdoor time. TLDR: I'm as vigilant with pets as I am with human children.

Please share as much as you can about their typical routine with you, including their schedule, sensitivities, behavioral challenges, medical needs, meal routines, potty protocols, etc. Their routine is my routine!
A typical day
Long walks and ample affection are a given. I'm a firm believer in "sniffaris," or slow walks where they're allowed to smell to their heart's content. Does your dog love to sit and watch squirrels? Great, me too! When it comes to dogs, cognitive enrichment is often more valuable than cardio, but every dog is different. I'm a big fan of puzzle toys, playtime, and hand-feeding meals to reinforce training.

Pet care experience
Hi! I'm Rebecca, and I live with my partner in the Broadview/Bitter Lake neighborhood. I'm a second generation pet sitter - I learned professional pet sitting while helping my mom with her small business as a teen, and actually took my first dog training class in middle school. More recently, I trained my own dog, Nacha, in basic manners, walking, and agility (positive reinforcement only!). I foster with Saving Great Animals and volunteer at PAWS Lynnwood. I'm sensitive - I have experience caring for nervous, easily excited, and/or reactive pets. I'm thoughtful about their needs and personality and enjoy tailoring their routine to meet them where they are. As a neurodivergent person, my sensitivity is my superpower, allowing me to easily attune to each creature I care for, whether they need to walk, zoom, play, snuggle, or decompress. I'm ridiculously safe - My uncanny ability to anticipate everything that could go wrong means that safety isn't just a priority, it's my baseline. I know first-hand what it's like to worry about your pet while you're at work, wondering if the walker remembered to take their collar off before putting them back in their crate, or hoping they followed their routine thoroughly enough to ensure they're comfortable until I get home. Let my own anxiety ease yours!
Reviews

We are so happy to have found Rebecca! She is kind, thoughtful, and always sends a nice little update about her visit with our guy. It has genuinely added peace back to our lives knowing that she’ll be able to swing by when we are not home. Upon our first meeting, she asked great questions and our dog took to her right away. If you’re looking for a reliable sitter, I’d recommend reaching out to Rebecca!

Rebecca was absolutely wonderful with our 4-month-old German Shepherd puppy! She is incredibly caring and detail-oriented, which gave us total peace of mind. It was clear our pup loved her by the end of the stay. We couldn't have asked for a better sitter and will definitely be booking her again!

Rebecca had great questions about our dog before she came over. The rapport was instant. She did a great job of taking our doggo out for a walk; he was completely tired out upon their return. We'll probably hire her again -- we especially appreciate her coming by on short notice.
Rebecca watched my cats for a little over two weeks while I traveled, and I was able to enjoy my trip knowing they were in good hands the whole time. Rebecca shared regular updates and funny stories about what they were doing, as well as plenty of photos and videos that clearly showed my cats having a good time with her. She even managed to coax the shy one out from under the bed in just a few days, something that usually takes a new person much longer. I won’t hesitate to book Rebecca again the next time I need someone to watch my pets!
