First - what you want for your dog matters most. Please communicate training, behavioral, food, outing, and other expectations and I will do my very best to check every box! After that - I care for pets by putting the pet first and giving them as much love as they'd like! I live alone in an apartment up a flight of stairs. While I can provide some help up the stairs, it would be ideal if larger dogs can do a flight of stairs multiple times a day. In my home I do not leave anything dangerous down. Specifically, I'm in the habit of not leaving food down due to my own food-hound. Trash is covered and frequently dumped to avoid trash calamity. A bench at the bottom of my bed with a rug under it ensures safe jumps from floor to bed. Rugs make the living room more comfortable for pups. I can lift dogs in and out of cars when required (as I did for my own sweet girl). Walks employ harnesses to safeguard the throat and trachea. I have pet gates to isolate pets if owners request (healing/safety). I'd speak to owners about acceptable treats, food schedule, medication schedule, and any furniture rules. Please note I have uploaded pics of my new home onto the app and put them near the top ... but many of the existing pics you see with other pets are inside of my past home.

Information Rebecca C. would like to know about your pet

Whether they are potty trained! I really appreciate honesty on this point. What their specific temptations and eccentricities are. What comforts them the most when mom and dad are gone. What is good for them to eat and what is off limits for them specifically - I want to respect dog allergies and food needs. What their special needs might be - my own sweet girl hurt her Achilles tendon in 2020 so I'm very familiar with understanding physical limitations in times of healing. The more communication from the pet parent on what the fur baby needs the better. 1) What is their typical daily routine like? 2) What are their mealtime details? Frequency? Quantity? 3) Do they have any allergies I should know about? 4) I'll be aiming to walk your dog every 4 hours (or whenever they ask for it). But if you have an existing walk schedule I'm happy to pivot to that. 5) Are they allowed on the furniture (while I so hope you'll say yes, what you need matters more!) 6) What should I do in the event I need to leave the home for a bit? Typically I like to only offer my services when I am 100% home. But I might need to leave. If I do, are they good to be left out to roam as royalty or should they be crated? 7) What makes them aggressive? Typically I will only be taking 1 dog at a time or 1 household of dogs at a time due to the size of my home and my preference to focus attention on your dog. Even still, it's good to know if there are any food or toy aggression in case I reach for something unknowingly. 8) What makes them happy? What's their favorite things (other than you)? Particular activities, play engagement, toy style, food or treat. 9) May I share any treats I have on hand or stick to only what you provide me? 10) Your vet contact information and ideally an emergency contact too

A typical day

Walks! Treats! Movie marathons with couch snuggles and knitting. Lots of love and affirmations of what a good, beautiful dog! Activity can be catered to each dog. I'm amenable to day adventures (ex - Bradbury Mountain, Higgins Beach, Wiggly Bridge) if you think the dog would enjoy the car ride and activity. I'm equally amenable to couch and snuggle time. I'm comfortable with potty breaks being 40+ minutes around the neighborhood or shorter for dogs incapable of long walks (or the cold).

Pet care experience

I love dogs! I get so excited each time I see a dog ... the same way a teenager does to their first love, or a man to a new grill/smoker, or a woman to a Christmas craft fair. I'd love to make your pet feel loved and cared for when their favorite person (you!) is away from home. I lost my sweet, sweet girl to a brain tumor November 2025. While I'm not ready to take on a new dog of my own, I'd be so pleased to care for yours while you're away. You can be sure I will treat them with care and affection, same as I did for my own. Each dog is different and I will do my best to cater my care to their needs, safety, comfort, and (healthy) stimulation. My home is small but the love inside it is not. I can provide walks of whatever duration/frequency your dog needs, car rides to new sites/sounds/smells (if you approve), and 'bonus bites' of foodlove (again at your approval). Pets are allowed on furniture and beds. Above all I will respect what you tell me the boundaries are for your pet. I know what it's like to be away from your 4-legged best friend and will provide daily updates with pictures but if you want more often than that, you need only ask. About me: I've helped train 6 puppies and helped with dedicated senior care on two of my own dogs (including soft tissue injuries and a brain tumor diagnosis with resultant seizures). I grew up in a house with a dog from birth to college and actively helped take care of them. Since 2006 when I graduated college I have had two dogs and each have solely relied on me for their care including health problems, surgery healing, etc. Smoke free, child free, cat free home. I am comfortable with all sizes, ages, breeds, and attitudes of dogs. I am comfortable administering oral and rectal meds but would not be a good fit for someone who had a dog needing an injection (sorry!). I am comfortable with dogs who are very 'high maintenance' on their med and feeding schedule as my own brain tumor experience can attest to how exacting, detailed, and difficult that can be.

Rebecca was professional and kind from our first interactions on Rover, to our live meet and greet, go during her boarding of our geriatric dog. Rebecca sent periodic updates and pictures which were wonderful to receive while away from our dog. We will definitely engage Rebecca’s care taking again.

Rebecca is a dog lover and owner. She really connects with her own dog and loves to interact with her own brown eyed furry little friend. She owned her first black lab, Rogue, through high school and college. The dog was a constant companion and friend. After more than a decade, she then transitioned to Tannin. The two dogs are family. She has provided excellent care for them and lots of love. I would trust her with my own little puppy without hesitation.

I highly recommend Rebecca caring for your dog. She is responsible, kind and caring. I've seen first-hand how she treats her own dog and has given my dog that same caring and attention. She treats each animal as if it was her own, providing love, attention and exercise. She is respectful of your pets' needs; whether it's a walk, cuddling or giving an extra snack/meal if needed.
