Safety, trust & environment

I’m a responsible and empathetic human who has a lot of respect for privacy. I’ll take excellent care of your fur babies as if they were my own and will be respectful of your home and property just as I would hope others would be respectful of mine.

Information Rebecca A. would like to know about your pet

I’d love to know anything about your pet that would help me to care for them in the best way for them. :) Please let me know if your pet likes to be touched or not, if they have any behaviors or allergies or tendencies I ought to be aware of, and if I’m walking them, it would be helpful to know how they are with other dogs and humans (big and little) or noises we might encounter while we’re out.

A typical day

How the walk or check-in goes depends entirely on what your pet’s needs are. Happy to get your dog some physical or mental exercise or just take them out for a quick potty break, if that’s more their speed. We can go for longer walks, play in the park, or do some training at home. If they’re more comfortable sitting on a bench and people watching or sniffing around the park with no interaction with others, we can do that too. For pets that just need a check-in, happy to provide whatever makes them most comfortable and happy.

Super active dog & cat lover

Pet care experience

I’ve had dogs and cats my entire life & am currently owned by a crazy and lovable three-year-old Aussie named Gracie, who is hilarious and just as active as I am. In addition to our regular walks, I frequently take her on hikes, mountain bike rides, paddle boarding, and anywhere I can that I think she’ll have a fun and interesting adventure (even if that’s just a sniff walk to a new location or a trip to CVS to say hi to the pharmacy staff.) I’m looking forward to meeting your pet and giving them a safe, comfortable, and interesting experience that will make THEM happy, whatever that looks for them. I’ve done a considerable amount of training with my pup and raised her here in Philly so am familiar with the nuances of city dog life. I try to keep her happy and fulfilled, and give her lots of different experiences—we just completed a trick dog training class at Penn Vet Working Dog Center, which she loved! I recently lost my senior cat, Pearl, who was the sweetest, cuddliest cat ever. I have experience caring for both high-energy and slower-paced animals, animals with anxiety, and those with special needs. I genuinely enjoy the process of patiently learning each animal’s unique personality and am attentive to their quirks, needs, behaviors, triggers, likes & dislikes. Having used Rover as a client, I’m well aware how nerve-wracking it can be to trust someone new with your beloved pet, and I’ll do everything I can to make that process as comfortable and confidence-inducing as possible. I live in Rittenhouse and work from home with a fair amount of flexibility and would love to help you out and help to keep your pets happy, safe, & fulfilled while you’re away.

I’ve known Rebecca for eight years. Not only is she a kind person and a good friend, she’s also very intelligent and responsible. I know that she adores dogs. Her own dog, Gracie, is the light of her life. Rebecca treats her well, walks her often, and keeps her well trained. I’m sure she’ll treat any dog that’s in her care well.
