I currently provide pet care in clients’ homes, with a primary focus on dog walking. Before each assignment, I take time to understand the dog’s routine, walking preferences, energy level, leash behavior, and any specific instructions from the owner (such as preferred routes, commands, or reactivity concerns). During walks, I prioritize safety, consistency, and positive reinforcement. I aim to maintain the dog’s regular exercise schedule as closely as possible, whether that means brisk neighborhood walks, slower sniff-focused outings, or more structured exercise depending on the dog’s needs. I always follow leash guidelines, stay alert to surroundings, and adjust the pace and route based on the dog’s comfort and behavior. In addition to walking, I provide basic in-home care when needed, such as ensuring fresh water is available and reinforcing any training or house rules the owner has in place. I also make sure to communicate clearly with pet parents, offering updates, notes from the walk, and photos so they feel informed and reassured. My goal is to provide reliable, attentive care that keeps dogs physically active, mentally engaged, and safe while maintaining their normal routine as closely as possible.
