Availability
While I don’t currently own a dog myself, I live with three dogs during the school week and am actively involved in their daily care. I assist with feeding, exercise, enrichment, and working with each dog’s established routines according to the owners’ instructions and preferences. Being surrounded by dogs every day has made pet care a constant part of my life, not something I do occasionally. Between my coursework, professional experience, and daily responsibilities at home, caring for animals is fully incorporated into my routine. I’m comfortable with managing schedules, meeting individual needs, and maintaining consistency, structure, and safety in a shared living environment with multiple dogs..

Safety, trust & environment
I always take a proactive, safety-first approach when caring for dogs. Before every walk, I check that collars, harnesses, and leashes are properly fitted and secure, and I assess pavement conditions and outdoor temperatures to prevent overheating or paw injuries. On warm days, I ensure dogs have access to fresh, cold water and monitor closely for signs of heat stress or fatigue. I always scan the environment for potential hazards, including unsafe objects, choking risks, and anything that could cause injury or stress. I make sure all human food and non-approved toys, bones, or small items are out of reach. I also ensure that food and water bowls are clean and filled, and that doors are closed to prevent accidental escapes. I closely monitor each dog’s body language and stress signals, adjusting activity levels, handling, and enrichment as needed. I’m also always supervising to keep dogs safe, comfortable, and mentally fulfilled at all times.
Information Reagan T. would like to know about your pet
Any behavioral issues including reactivity, aggression, resource guarding etc. Any medical conditions like seizures/epilepsy, anxiety, IVDD, or balance issues. Any other information that you believe I should know.
A typical day
I choose activities to each dog’s personality, energy level, and preferences to keep them mentally and physically engaged. Some of my favorite enrichment activities include scent work, puzzle toys, busy boxes, frozen treats, training tricks, and creative activities like letting dogs “paint” a canvas. I also enjoy taking dogs to new environments such as parks, trails, or other dog-friendly spaces dependent on owner and dog preferences.

Pet care experience
Booking for Summer 2026! Hello, my name is Reagan Tomisman, and I have always loved working with animals since I was young. I’ve turned that passion into both a strong educational background and a career built on empathy, knowledge, and a deep understanding of dogs and their individual needs. I am a second-semester senior at SUNY Cobleskill, majoring in Canine Training and Management. Through my coursework, I’ve built a strong foundation in canine care, behavior, and welfare. I’ve completed classes in Canine Health, covering pet first aid and CPR, common illnesses and injuries, and prevention and treatment strategies. I’ve also studied canine behavior and behavioral challenges, including reactivity, aggression, and resource guarding, with a focus on safe handling, management techniques, and appropriate approaches for dogs who may require extra support. My education in canine communication has trained me to read non-verbal cues and body language, allowing me to recognize stress signals, arousal levels, and emotional states early. In addition to my academic background, I have three years of experience pet sitting on Rover, with many repeat clients. I truly enjoy building long-term relationships with both dogs and their owners, and I’m especially comfortable working with dogs who need a little extra love and patience including reactive or aggressive dogs and high-drive working dogs. I understand the importance of structure, clear communication, and appropriate mental and physical outlets, and I tailor my care to each dog’s individual needs. I’ve also worked at a doggy daycare, where I managed large groups of dogs with varying personalities, energy levels, and play styles. This experience strengthened my ability to supervise group interactions, prevent conflicts before they escalate, and adapt my handling approach to each individual dog. It also taught me the importance of structure, enrichment, and clear communication in keeping dogs safe and happy.

Reviews
Reagan T. cancelled a booking within a day of the start date.

Reagan did a great job watching my high energy dog for a couple of hours! She was very communicative and it was clear that my dog enjoyed the time with her!
My 2nd review- ten months later. Reagan has been walking my dog twice a week for ten months- she is very reliable! It has worked perfectly with my schedule and her schedule. If I needed to cancel- she was flexible in picking up another day during the week. If she was sick or had an appointment- she communicated and flipped days for that week. It was easy to work with Reagan. She was very helpful and I trusted her. She will be hard to replace next year- when I need another dog walker and she goes away for college.
Reagan is incredible! She walks my two dogs and treats them like her own. She's dependable and I totally trust her with caring for my furbabies!!
