I love my job and I work with dogs 7 days a week. I take time off here and there for the occasional concert or road trip, but otherwise my weekly routine is focused on working with and learning about our 4 legged friends.

My apartment sadly does not allow dogs :( I will only be able to care for your pup on the go, taking them for walks or by coming to your home for visits or overnight stays.

Information Raymond C. would like to know about your pet

Some of the information I look for in my initial meet & greets: allergies, reactivity or anxietys, their general schedule and any likes or dislikes! This gives me the tools to care for each animal individually to best suit their needs.

A typical day

I prefer to adopt a dog's current routine as much possible. The focus of my care is to make sure your pets are comfortable and happy while their people out of town. Long walks with lots of smells, tug, fetch...I do it all. I'm also a specialist in making delicious slow feeder treats like frozen lick mats and stuffed kongs.

Pet care experience

Hi! My name is Raymond though I go by Chip. Ive been working with dogs full time for almost 4 years now. I have the best job in the world: I get to learn about, work with and care for the sweetest animals on earth. I learned most of my dog handling skills as a volunteer dog walker for the Seattle Animal Shelter. I've been with them since November of '22. I'm an advanced dog walker at the shelter ("Purple" walker) and have helped to train other shelter volunteers to work with more reactive or stressed out pups. I'm comfortable caring for, engaging in play with and walking dogs of all different levels of reactivity and temperament. I'm happy to care for the sweet and cuddly or the timid and nervous.

Fergus is a sweet boy but anxious with strangers. Raymond did all the right things with a fussy little dude to get him leashed up and out on a long walk.

Chip was amazing! He really went the extra mile to take care of our 100 lb German Shepherd. Got lots of great feedback, and he did a wonderful job taking care of him. We'd call him back in a heartbeat for any additional housesitting!

Chip took such great care of my dog Jamo while I went out of town for Thanksgiving for a long trip away (and again recently for a drop in when I had day-long work obligation). His experience handling reactive dogs is so reassuring, as my dog is very anxious and dog-reactive. They hit it off right away which made me so happy! He’s very communicative and provides detailed summaries of his visits which really puts me at ease as an anxious dog mom. I’m so glad to have found a local sitter who I can trust with my (sometimes difficult) pup. I can’t wait to have him back to watch Jamo in the future!

I was on a vacation with very limited service and never felt nervous that my dogs were in good hands. I will most definitely have Raymond look after my pups again, and highly recommend him to care for anyone else’s. Thank you so much Raymond, for being so kind and considerate with my angels!
