She has an incredible amount of empathy for animals—more than I have personally seen in almost anyone else I know. Their well-being truly matters to her. What has always amazed me is how naturally animals seem to recognize this in her. Even animals meeting Rayan for the first time often seem comfortable with her very quickly. They approach her, stay near her, and seek her attention and affection. I have always felt that animals somehow sense her gentleness and the sincere love she has for them. There is a trust and connection between her and animals that is beautiful to watch. For Rayan, caring for someone's pet would never be "just a job." She understands that pets are members of our families and that when someone places an animal in her care, they are trusting her with someone they deeply love.
