I’m currently working from home and raising a golden pup, so my schedule consists of a cycle of: wake up, potty, meal times, and play. Because of my open schedule I’m able to adapt easily to the needs of the animals in my care! Much of my puppers rotation takes place in the morning, mid-day, and the evening.

I have a fenced backyard with an open and shared backyard space. My townhome has three levels (lots of room to run about) and a freezer full of prepared lickmats and puzzles. Food and treats are used to reienforce good behaviour and routine, and wind-down/calm periods are critical to get some rest as well. Also, there is a dog park 5 minutes away and many trails for daily walks too.

Let me know if your pet is reactive towards puppies or high-energy dogs. I have a golden retriever puppy at home and would like to know ahead of time if there are special accommodations that need to be put in place for the safety of every animal.
A typical day
Mental stimulation and play is super important so my priorities would be to have many puzzle games ready, desensitization videos on while playing or eating, and various smells outside on walks or in dog park playing fetch!

I’ve taken care of and been around animals my whole life! 3 cats for 12 years, 1 adorable adult doggo for 3 years, and now am raising AND training a 5-month-old golden puppy. There are no limits to the love I have for the furry bundles of joy this world has to offer ♥️
