Calm countryside retreat for happy dogs 🐾
From my childhood surrounded by dogs - from German Shepherds to Spaniels -to raising my own gentle Labrador, caring for animals has always been a natural part of my life. I truly believe life wouldn’t be the same without our four-legged companions, and I treat every guest dog as part of my family. Over the years, I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and needs -from energetic youngsters to gentle seniors and anxious rescues. I only take a small number of dogs at a time, which allows me to give them calm, individual attention and a truly homely atmosphere. I live just outside York, in a peaceful countryside setting with a large secure garden, private fields, and quiet woodland paths - perfect for relaxed walks and safe playtime. Working from home means your dog will have company and care throughout the day. My goal is to give you complete peace of mind, knowing your furry friend is safe, happy, and loved. Every dog has its own rhythm - some enjoy adventures, others prefer a cosy nap in the sunshine. I adapt to each one’s personality and routine, ensuring they feel settled and secure.

Rasa was great with my bouncy energetic standard poodle Teddy. He was so happy when I picked him up and looked well. He had a great time running around with Simba, (Rasas labrador ) in the large area of land at the back of the house. I would not hesitate to recommend Rasa to look after your dog and I will use her again. Thank you Rasa x
Rasa was a lifesaver while I was in York! She sent me pictures of every fun or funny moments with my dog, and she had a lot! My dog came back to me tired and happy! She’s amazing with dogs and very careful. Highly recommend her!
What can I say? Rasa was amazing from the initial engagement all throughout the time my boys stayed with her. Starting with a new dog sitter and boarding for the first time can be unnerving. Rasa comforted me from the get-go by sending pictures of their time with her. They have an amazing environment, and the boys thoroughly enjoyed themselves. We'll definitely be using Rasa again.
Luna had a wonderful stay with Rasa and Simba. She came home tired and happy. What more can you ask for? It was a last minute booking and Rasa was very accommodating.
Rasa looked after our 3 cocker spaniels for 2 weeks in October 2025 - we striggled to find anyone who would take all 3 dogs but we immediately felt at ease with Rasa and our girls looked very happy. She followed our feeding instructions clearly and gave them a warm and relaxing home with lots of cuddles and lots of walks. She kept us updated with photos whilst we were away and our girls seemed very happy when we collected them - Nellie didn't really look as though she wanted to come home! Would highly recommend.
Rasa was a wonderful dog sitter. Our dog Poppy looked like she had a great time staying with Rasa and her dog Simba. She sent photos through and communication was excellent. We would definitely use again.

I work from my home office, which means your dog will always have company and care throughout the day. We live in a secure home with a large garden, open private fields, and quiet woodland paths - perfect for plenty of safe, relaxed walkies.

I live just outside York, in a peaceful and secure countryside home that provides a calm, safe environment for your furry friend. The property has a large enclosed garden, private fields, and quiet woodland areas -perfect for relaxed play and exploration. Depending on your dog’s personality and needs, I’ll make sure they feel completely at ease. Sociable dogs are welcome to share a room with my own gentle Labrador for company, while those who prefer more space or quiet have a comfortable area of their own. Crates are available if your dog is used to them or feels safer that way; everything is adapted to what makes them happiest and most secure.

I love keeping dogs both physically and mentally stimulated. Our days are filled with a mix of play, walks, and calm time. We’ll enjoy fun activities like fetch, gentle training games, and exploring the nearby fields and woodland - plenty of space for sniffing around and discovering new scents. There’s always time for cuddles, rest, and a bit of sunshine in the garden too. And of course, we’ll be on the lookout for the biggest stick we can find!
