Fenced garden at ours means dogs are safe and secure. Dogs are allowed on our sofa and our beds (!) and truly embrace pups into our hearts and home :)

Information Ranjana D. would like to know about your pet
Unfortunately because we have small children we cannot look after dogs who are not fully and reliably toilet trained. Also we cannot look after dogs who have any known history of agression or resource guarding or not being friendly with children or other dogs (because we have a dog ourselves). We should say that given our busy little household we are only able to look after pups who are well in themselves and do not have any significant care needs (such as pups with significant illness or pups with complex post operative care needs).
A typical day
We live right next to a beautiful park and very close to woods! Plenty of tennis balls too - and walks in the outdoors with lots of catch and fetch are always available:)

I’ve had dogs since I was 11 years old and we are now on to our 4th and 5th dogs - a lovely 11 year old female Shih Tzu Dizzy, who’s the gentlest soul ever. And we also have our beautiful kind Shih Tzu puppy Doodle who is 7 months old as of March 2026. We live in Guildford with our two kids aged 6 and 10, and have a lovely house and garden in Onslow Village - a stones throw from the Onslow Rec and Arboretum - perfect for dog walks. We would love to look after small to medium dogs who are fully toilet trained, good with small kids and with other dogs! Do check all the info on the profile before you book :)

Absolutely wonderful! Ranjana looked after Teddy, our Shitzu, for 10 days and he's had a fantastic time. It was absolutely home from home. Ted, being a shihtzu, is extremely stubborn, fussy and lazy! They too have a lovely little dog and they were inseparable. Ted had a bit of an upset tummy when we were away, but the family were so kind and even cooked him some fish and chicken. We had daily updates with lots of lovely pictures. Ted was so well looked after we had no worries at all. We wouldn't hesitate in recommending Ranjana and Teddy will certainly be going back. If you want to leave your pet in a lovely caring family home, you need look no further. Thank you so much Ranjana and family.
