25+ Yrs of Caring For Dogs

I bring over 25 years of personal, dedicated experience caring for dogs across every stage of life. My background includes a decade with a high-energy Labrador Retriever, followed most recently by 16.5 wonderful, devoted years raising and caring for my two miniature poodles, Max and Mia. What truly sets me apart is this comprehensive, full-lifecycle experience. I deeply understand the differing needs of dogs as they age. Whether your dog is a high-energy breed that needs a structured, high-efficiency neighborhood workout, or a senior pup requiring a gentle, patient pace, I tailor every walk to their specific routine. Specialized Skills: Senior & Special Needs Care: Exceptionally attentive to mobility and visibility limitations, recovery from medical procedures, strict medication schedules, and the gentle touch required for aging pets. Breed Versatility: Equally comfortable and experienced with large, active retrievers and delicate, intelligent small breeds. Reliability & Structure: I pride myself on extreme dependability, clear communication, and maintaining the exact schedule and boundaries you set for your furry family member.

Randy goes above and beyond in walks (and I’m sure for everything else). He sends the cutest pictures and leaves detailed walk descriptions. He also noticed walnut doesn’t drink water when he gets him from a walk so he started bringing water with him in a container to make sure walnut is hydrated. Thanks so much!

Randy is the person I would trust implicitly with my dog. I’ve known him for over 30yrs now and watched how incredibly dedicated he was to his poodles, Max and Mia, from the time they were puppies all the way into their senior years. He provided nursing level care, administering injections on a strict, time-sensitive schedule, pill regimens laid out and written out on a schedule, spent time each week prepping pills, cooking for them when they needed special diets, patiently slowing his pace down to a crawl when Max was recovering from knee surgery. When walking eventually became too difficult for them, he even bought a dog stroller just so they could still go out, feel the fresh air, and enjoy the park and to potty outside. His loving nature and patience, especially with senior pets who need extra tenderness, is unmatched. I highly recommend him to take care of your pet!

Safety, trust & environment

Safety, peace of mind, and immaculate cleanliness are my highest priorities. I treat your home and pets with the utmost respect and maintain strict, premium standards to ensure a healthy, hygienic environment for your dog. In Your Home (Walks & Drop-Ins) Structured Walks: I maintain complete awareness of our surroundings, keeping your dog on a secure leash away from unknown animals or hazards. I stick strictly to your preferred routes and neighborhood/ street boundaries. Meticulous Clean-Up: I practice strict waste disposal during walks and ensure paws are thoroughly wiped clean before re-entering your home on rainy or muddy days, or everyday (my dogs always got their paws wiped every time we came home). Happy to put your boots on your pet before we leave for walks if needed. Home Security & Integrity: I respect your privacy, ensuring doors are locked, alarms are set, and your space is left clean, and keys are secure at all times. If you require shoes off in your home, I'm happy to comply.

A typical day

A typical day with me is all about balancing physical exercise, mental stimulation, and plenty of personalized attention, all while strictly adhering to your dog's established routine. I believe a tired dog is a happy dog. If your dog is a low energy couch potato, I’m happy to just sit with them and spend time talking to them, reading them a story, and giving them some human bonding time as well. Our Daily Adventures Could Include: • Structured Walks & Exploration: We will head out for refreshing walks or trips to the park. I love letting dogs "sniff and smell the world”. Exploration and sniffing are incredibly important for a dog's mental well-being and stress relief, so I always budget time for them to safely explore their surroundings. • Brain Games & Training Reinforcement: I incorporate fun, rewarding training reinforcement throughout the day. We will practice basic commands like sit, stay, and look to keep their minds sharp and reinforce good boundaries if you wish. • Interactive Playtime: Whether it's a game of fetch, tug of war, or gentle indoor play for smaller or older pups, I make sure they get plenty of active, hands-on attention at your request. • Enrichment Before Departures: Before I leave after a visit or a walk, I can also prepare a food-based toy or puzzle (like a stuffed KONG or lick mat) to keep them happily occupied and relaxed upon request. Every day is tailored entirely to your dog's energy level, age, and comfort, ensuring they are taken care of while staying safe. Safety and cleanliness come first for me.

In order to provide the absolute best, consistent care and keep your dog on their routine, it is helpful to know a few details about their unique personality and habits before our first booking: • Schedule & Routine: What are their exact times for feeding, walks, and medication? I strictly adhere to your schedule. • Walking & Leash Habits: How do they behave on a leash/harness? Do they have any specific triggers I should look out for (like squirrels, bicycles, or other dogs), and what commands do you use to redirect their focus? • Health & Mobility Needs: Do they have any medical conditions, dietary restrictions, allergies, or mobility limitations? • Comfort & Separation Anxiety: How do they handle transitions or being left alone? Do they have a favorite comfort toy, or do they prefer a specific routine, like a food-based puzzle toy when it's time for me to head out? • House Rules & Boundaries: What basic commands or boundaries are you currently reinforcing at home? I want to make sure I am respecting your rules and boundaries. I will ask you to set up an initial meet and greet (no charge) to go over the details prior to accepting a booking.
