I take reactive dogs

I am an animal lover who have been fostering and training rescue dogs since 2019. My 8yo female mixed breed DQ is a great canine companion and mentor for our foster friends. In 2025 I left my corporate job to have dedicated time to grow my passion for dogs into a career and has since gained tons of professional knowledge through shadowing, workshops, mentorship and of course hands on experience from living with and handling a variety of dogs. In 2026 February, I founded Edamame Dog Training to help owners who needs help with certain challenging behavior issues. I curate structured boarding experience that help your dog feel enriched and settled. I pay attention to pace, leash handling, positive reinforcement, sniff time, and your dog’s individual needs, so they come home not just tired, but relaxed. This is a great fit for dogs who pull the leash, barks and lunges, get overstimulated, skittish to new things or need consistency in their current journey while you are away.

Ran is incredible with my puppy Lucy. She has worked with me to learn Lucy's commands, schedule, my preferences, and training goals. And ultimately I know Lucy is safe when she's in Ran's care. Also, she's super nice! My building managers all know her now and say she is always very professional. I'm very happy I found her!

Woody had the best time! I think he was sad to come home. We appreciated the flexibility, updates, and great care. Five star rating for sure! We appreciate finding someone who cares for our dog like their own. Thank you so much Ran!

Ran is amazing!!!!! I was nervous about leaving my dog for the first time but after our meet-and-greet before the boarding, I knew I made the right decision booking with Ran. I really appreciate her experience and knowledge with dogs and her own dog DQ is a great buddy during the stay. Ran is very communicative, which really put me at ease; Zelda was so happy in the pictures and videos I was sent. I will 100% use Ran again.

You will not find a better person to care for your dog than Ran. She has buckets of experience fostering and caring for dogs but even more importantly, she is calm and intuitive and takes a genuine delight in connecting with her canine friends. We have known Ran for a couple of years now as she was the foster parent for our sweet girl before we adopted her and then later she watched our dog while we were out of town. Ran does not require the perfect pup; she is able to flex and accommodate the quirks that come along with our rescue dog. She is an excellent communicator and regularly sends video and email updates. Ran offers plenty of outdoor activities and lovingly integrates visiting dogs into her life; she even trimmed our dog's fingernails! (A task we struggled to complete.) I cannot recommend Ran enough; you will not regret entrusting her with your furry friend.

Schedule

I’m a full time dog professional and foster for local rescue. I usually have 1-2 foster at home but when I get boarding requests, I make sure to keep only 1 foster so the house has a maximum of 3 dogs total (my dog DQ, usually 1 foster, and your boarding dog). My day consists of mainly caring and training dogs in my house. Some days I drive to clients for in-home private lessons or walks, which takes less than half of the day.

Safety, trust & environment

I have a fenced yard about 300 sqft. There’s an enclosed community playground that the neighborhood dogs play in. We also go on walks to Bridle Crest Trail. We are walkable to both Bridle Crest State Park or Marymoor off leash dog park via the Bridle Crest Trail, or 8 minutes drive. My female 45lbs dog DQ is a great canine companion for visiting or foster dogs.

Pets

A typical day

First 1-2 days is decompression time, we’ll show them around the environment and their safe space, let them take in the dynamic of the house, I play some name game to build trust and bonding. Walks 1:1 with me. Once they settle in and can co exist with the other 1 or 2 dogs, plenty of options for engagement and relaxation. We go on two long pack walks a day mixing free exploration and focused heel. If the energy matches, chase and play with the pack in the fully fenced yard, or play session with me. Meals will be given in crate separately to avoid conflicts between dogs, and usually given in an enrichment fashion so they have to work their nose, teeth etc.
