Safety, trust & environment

I am working on being able to offer house sitting, boarding services, and drop-in visits in the near future. *Drop-in exceptions will be made if you would like to book me for multiple/recurring walks and believe you/your dog should meet me ahead of time -- let me know in this case and I'm happy to open a space on the booking platform for that :)

Information Ramona B. would like to know about your pet

I am not partial to any particular breeds -- All dogs are welcome! Please be cognizant if your dog has behavioural/aggression issues, or is a rescue that takes time to warm up to people, that it would be wise to book a drop-in visit or two to allow me some time to get to know your dog in the comfort and safety of your own home before I take him or her out for walks without you. To ensure that I can provide you and your dog with the BEST possible experience, please let me know of the following as they apply to the service(s) you have selected. The more I know about your dog, the better I can tailor my care and attention <3 1. What breed is he/she? How old? 2. Does your dog play friendly with other dogs? 3. Is your dog comfortable being alone for short periods of time? 4. What kinds of activities does you dog absolutely love? 5. Is your dog hypoallergenic? 6. Is your dog car-trained, that is, able to ride without getting car sick? 7. What time(s) do you typically feed your dog? 8. Is your dog potty-trained? How frequently does your dog tend to relieve him/herself? 9. Does your dog have any ailments or illnesses I should be aware of? 10. Are there any behavioural quirks or training requirements I should know that are unique to your dog? (For example, are they high energy or super mellow? Do they hate carrots? Do they dislike when people touch their paws? Do they need to take frequent rests during a walk? Should they not be allowed to go up on the couch? Should I only use hand gestures for certain commands? You get the picture.)

A typical day

We'll definitely visit local parks, designated dog parks and/or trails in the area (where available). If your pet is staying with me I've also got a fenced-in backyard with plenty of things to sniff, squirrels to chase, birds to watch, and space to run around. Are there any special toys, games or activities your dog absolutely loves? Let me know!

Pet care experience

My name is Ramona, and I am a holistic health coach and Certified Nutritional Practitioner. I currently have flexible time available to walk your dog, and I'm hoping to have more opportunity to book drop-ins and boarding in the near future. As an added bonus, I can also consult with you from a pet nutrition/wellness perspective too which we can discuss separately :) I miss my own dog very dearly, and I haven't felt right getting another yet because the memory of him is still so strong, even years later, so the next best thing is to support others with their beloved furry friends. I know how difficult it can be when your pet is family yet you have a demanding job, a hectic kids schedule, or the like, which leaves them alone for extended hours at a time. So I am here to help fill those gaps to keep your dog Exercised, Safe and Comforted until you return, while providing your pet with the Love Energy, Fun & Attention they deserve. You'll have the Peace Of Mind you seek to be truly present wherever you need to be knowing that your dog is well-cared for. I have extensive experience raising and caring for my own dog from puppy through to senior, so I have been through it all, including behavourial training, administering medications and ointments, and washing/cleaning/grooming. As such, I can handle your dog at practically any stage of life, at any size ranging from small to large. I have walked and house-sat for numerous cats and dogs over the years so I am very comfortable handling animals that are not my own. I understand the mind of dogs, their natural behaviours and instincts, as well as the importance of positively reinforced discipline and consistency. Please let me know of any special needs or behaviours you are trying to instill in your dog, and I will happily help maintain your training requirements while your dog is in my hands. As a wellness professional I practice what I preach. I am physically fit to handle most dog sizes (don't let my height fool you, I can handle walking and disciplining larger dogs since my own dog was a large Malamute/wolf mix). I love being outside, inclement weather doesn't deter me and I have all the parks, trails & beaches in the Wasaga Beach area available to me and your dog (there are also designated dog parks to explore). I look forward to meeting you and your dog! <3

Ramona is fantastic. She is reliable and always sends me pictures of her walks. She always contacts me if she has any questions and responds quickly back to me. I am so happy to have found her. I would recommend her to anyone looking for someone to walk their dog or any other service she would provide.
