The Staycation Your Dog Deserves

Let me ask you a simple question. When you’re away… do you want to hope your dog is “doing okay” —or do you want to know they’re having the time of their life? Because there’s a big difference between “someone stopping by to feed them” and a place where your dog is genuinely seen, soothed, exercised, loved, and spoiled. That’s exactly what we offer. Not a kennel. Not a warehouse full of barking dogs. Not a rushed sitter juggling five homes at once. But a quiet, safe, half-acre retreat in Los Angeles, where your dog gets what most boarding places simply can’t provide: Real attention. Real presence. Real care. Here’s what a typical day looks like: Your dog wakes up on a fully fenced ½-acre property — no concrete runs, no cramped spaces. Just room to roam, sniff, explore, and be a dog. They spend their day with two humans who work from home, which means: No long stretches alone No “check-ins” No cages And no feeling forgotten When it’s time to play? They have access to a tennis court with more tennis balls than they’ll know what to do with. Chasing, running, joyful exhaustion — the good kind. When it’s time to relax? We use red light therapy, known to support: Joint health Recovery Circulation Calm nervous systems And yes… sometimes they get something most dogs never experience: 🎻 Live violin music, played gently to soothe and settle them. (It’s surprisingly effective — especially for anxious or sensitive dogs.) They’re never alone in this. They’re joined by the friendliest schnoodle you’ve ever met — social, gentle, and genuinely happy to welcome new friends. And because I’m a pet photographer, you won’t be left wondering how things are going. You’ll receive: Photos Videos Little moments you didn’t even know you wanted to see Not staged. Not forced. Just your dog… relaxed, happy, and fully at home. This is the kind of place people choose when: Their dog is family They value calm, safety, and quality They want zero guilt about leaving town And yes — we intentionally keep this small. We don’t take many dogs. We don’t overbook. And we don’t compromise the experience. Because this isn’t about volume. It’s about doing it right. If you’re looking for the cheapest option, this isn’t it. But if you’re looking for the place where your dog comes home: calm well-exercised emotionally settled and maybe a little sad the staycation is over Then you’ve probably just found it. The Staycation Your Dog Deserves. Availability is limited by design. Reach out early — our regulars tend to book ahead. Your dog will thank you. 🐾

Zoe had a blast at Ramon & Raquel's place! They have a big, lovely, and safe backyard for dogs to run around and play. And it was also a great opportunity/experience for Zoe to socialize with the other dogs who were there. They kept us updated with photos/videos throughout the day. 5 stars!

Stellar care. My Afghan Hound was smiling when I came to pick him up. Rather than wanting to leave right away with me, my dog wanted to stay and play with Ramon and myself. I highly recommend! Will definitely bring my dog back to Ramon & Raquel.

Ramon and Raquel are great hosts for our dog, Shep. You can see the joy in his eyes whenever he visits their beautiful home. Even though it was fairly last minute, they were gracious enough to watch our dog for a few days. We really appreciate the time Shep spent with them during his stay.

Ramon and Raquel are wonderful. They're gentle, caring and kind. Their yard is a doggie heaven and my huge 5 month old puppy had room to run for days. They helped socialize her with other dogs and people. They took excellent care of her and I wasn't ever worried for one second. My puppy loves it there. They sent pictures and updates as well. I highly recommend them.

Schedule

Pet care isn’t something we “fit in” — it’s woven into our daily life. Both of us work from home, which means the dogs in our care are with us throughout the day, not left alone for long stretches or slotted between errands. Our schedule naturally revolves around regular walks, outdoor play, enrichment, rest, and lots of one-on-one attention. Because we’re home, we can easily adapt to each dog’s needs — whether that’s extra playtime, quiet companionship, a consistent routine, or just more affection and reassurance. Our own dog is part of our everyday rhythm, so welcoming another dog simply means expanding the family for a bit. In short, dogs aren’t an “appointment” in our week — they’re part of how we live our days.

Safety, trust & environment

We care for pets the same way we care for our own — as part of the household, not as guests passing through. Dogs in our home are never kenneled or left alone for long periods. Because we both work from home, they’re with us throughout the day, receiving consistent attention, companionship, and affection. Our fully fenced ½-acre property gives dogs plenty of safe space to explore, play, and relax. We balance active play — including lots of supervised outdoor time and tennis-ball chasing — with rest and calm downtime, so dogs stay happy without becoming overstimulated. We’re very attentive to each dog’s individual needs, whether that means a predictable routine, extra reassurance, or simply a quiet place to settle. For dogs that enjoy it, we also offer red light therapy and soothing violin music to help support relaxation and overall well-being. You’ll receive frequent photo and video updates, so you can see how your dog is doing and feel completely at ease while you’re away. Our goal is simple: when your dog goes home, they’re relaxed, well cared for, and clearly loved.

A typical day

Fun is built into the day here — it just looks a little more like real life than a structured “schedule.” Dogs get plenty of outdoor play on our fully fenced ½-acre property, including lots of supervised tennis-ball chasing on the court (it’s a favorite). We mix in walks around our quiet neighborhood, exploration time, and relaxed hanging out so dogs can follow their natural rhythm. Between play sessions, there’s time to unwind with calm companionship, gentle enrichment, and for dogs that enjoy it, soothing violin music and red light therapy to help them relax and recover. Our friendly schnoodle is always happy to join in for social play, and because we’re home throughout the day, there’s never a rush — just plenty of attention, affection, and check-ins. And of course, we capture the fun along the way with photos and videos, so you can see your dog enjoying their staycation while you’re away.

We love getting to know each dog before their stay so we can make the experience as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Helpful things for us to know include: Your dog’s daily routine and energy level Any medical needs, sensitivities, or mobility considerations Feeding schedule and dietary preferences How they do with other dogs and new environments Any anxieties, triggers, or things that help them feel safe and settled Because we provide a calm, home-based environment (not a kennel), we’re best suited for dogs who are comfortable in a household setting and enjoy human companionship. We also appreciate knowing what your dog loves — favorite toys, games, sleep habits, or quirks — so we can make their stay feel familiar and stress-free. Our goal is simple: fewer surprises, more ease, and a stay where your dog feels completely at home.
