Hello! I'm a passionate Animal Scientist with a big heart for pets of all kinds. My journey in pet care began with my degree in Animal Science from UNESP (Brazil), one of the best universities in Latin America in this field, where I specialised in animal behaviour. For over five years now, I’ve been running my own business, "Casa da Zoo," gaining hands-on experience and a deep understanding of what pets truly need. I’m experienced in a variety of services, including: • Specialised Pet Sitting: I'm comfortable caring for all types of pets—from dogs and cats to exotics—and am skilled in looking after senior pets and administering medications. • Canine Expertise: I offer professional dog walking and training, using gentle and effective positive reinforcement techniques. • Behavioural and Nutritional Support: With my scientific background, I provide professional advice and compassionate care tailored to pets with unique needs. My goal is to give your pet the best possible experience, with lots of love, professionalism, and a true understanding of their individual well-being. Rafaela was absolutely brilliant looking after Jazz. We've never seen her so happy away from home, which says everything about the care and love she received. Rafaela kept us updated the whole time with photos and videos, so we could fully relax and enjoy our trip, knowing Jazz was being so well looked after. Rafaela was a really great sitter. Rafaela responded to my request very promptly and turned up for the dog sitting in plenty of time so that I could provide instructions in person. Rafaela dealt with my very young puppy really well and kept him calm - I could tell he had a good experience. I would definitely recommend!
We needed sitting while we went to London for the day and came back to a very happy and well exercised dog! All the pics looked like Bart had so much fun.

Rafa has been an excellent cat sitter. She sent us daily updates throughout the hot weather, she is very approachable, friendly and caring of Wes. Rafa was also willing to look out for our plants and make sure they were watered. I hope Rafa will be around for more cat sitting this summer!

I provide care both in the owner's home and in my own home, depending on what works best for you and your pet. Whether they’re staying in their familiar environment or coming to mine, my top priority is always their safety, comfort, and well-being. Before we start, we'll have a meet & greet to go over their specific routines, from feeding to medication, and I'll follow your instructions to the letter. You can expect regular photo and video updates, so you'll always know your pet is doing great and feeling loved. When staying at your home, I’ll always treat it with the utmost respect and ensure everything remains safe and sound.
A typical day
A typical day is all about fun and routine! We'll enjoy exciting walks, engaging playtime with their favourite toys, and of course, lots of cuddles and affection. My goal is to make sure your pet feels happy, safe, and loved while you're away.
