In a client’s home I can guarantee I’ll be up early to take care of the pets. I like to keep within an animal’s established routine as well as possible so they are less distressed that you’re gone. In my home we have three cats, one is blind and one is half blind. They get along with other cats, and while they can be suspicious of dogs at first, they always come around. At this time I am able to board small dogs with them, as long as the dog is comfortable with cats. We have a baby gate I use to separate the house when a new animal stays over, and we have our spare bedroom set up if we board a pet who needs a private space. Litter boxes are scooped daily. We have a small fenced/walled in back yard that smaller dogs will love. Our house is in a row of back houses behind a larger house in Pasadena, so the front of our home does not open directly to the road but to a small courtyard. We’re also lucky to have big windows with a nice view of the trees behind the house! Our neighborhood is fairly quiet and lovely to take walks in. We are also close to hiking areas for dogs who need more activity and exercise.
