I've been a cat owner since I was a teenager (almost 20 years ago!), I raise 3 of my own, the oldest of which is 12 years old. When caring for cats, my own or others, I let them figure out their comfort levels and safely let them do their own thing. I've had several years experience taking care of family dogs (my family liked and owned various types of terriers) and have house sit friends' dogs who are on more of a routine and schedule. Recently, as of January 2023, my husband and I welcomed our first dog into our home, 13 year old Peanut! Once dogs are comfortable with me, I enjoy playing with them until they tucker out and want to take a nap. I do have experience bathing dogs when necessary, and the after bath zoomies are always a treat to witness. I very much love animals and would like to provide company and/or a safe space for others' pets when their owners need to travel and can't take their furry friends along with them. I am very patient and quick to figure out new situations, in general and with animals. I currently work as a freelance graphic designer, per project, so I have plenty of time to spend time and take care of my own and others' pets. I'm also a night owl so I get most of my own work done in the evenings, while my cats are sleeping. Both the front and back yard of my home are fence (smaller dogs can play in the backyard where it is a full panel fence). I have 3 cats who are very laid back. My eldest grew up around dogs and loves playing with them (his favorite game is "chase me").
