Information Rachelle & Jonathan C. would like to know about your pet

To ensure I provide the absolute best and safest experience for your dog, please let me know about the following ahead of time: Triggers & Reactivity: Because of my experience raising a reactive dog, I am incredibly comfortable managing unique behaviors. Please let me know if your dog is uncomfortable around other dogs, skateboards, loud noises, or specific strangers so I can plan our routes and boundaries accordingly. Medical Needs & Routine: I am experienced in senior care and managing canine epilepsy. Please share details regarding any medication schedules, precise dosages, health conditions, or mobility limits. Outdoor & Leash Manners: How do they do on a leash? Are they a high-energy hiker, a casual beach stroller, or do they prefer short, quiet walks around the block? Comfort with Separation: While my husband and I both work from home full-time and provide constant companionship, it’s helpful to know how your dog handles it when we need to step out. House Rules & Comforts: Let me know their favorite sleeping spots, any feeding quirks, or specific commands they respond to so we can keep their routine as consistent as possible.

A typical day

Our days are structured around consistency, active companionship, and clear routines. Because my husband and I both work full-time from our home, your dog will enjoy a reliable schedule with plenty of attention and minimal alone time. Morning (Energy & Fresh Air): We start the day early with a long neighborhood walk to stretch our legs and get some fresh air. Back at home, breakfast is served, followed by a quiet resting period while we log into work. Midday (Flexible Breaks): With two remote schedules, we offer continuous companionship. The day is broken up with frequent backyard potty breaks, quick indoor playtime, and belly rubs between meetings. Late Afternoon/Evening (The Big Adventure): Once the workday wraps up, it’s time for the main event. Depending on your dog's energy level, health, and personality, we head out for a dedicated activity. After burning off some energy, we head home for dinner and a relaxing, cozy evening on the couch.

Active, Loving Dog Care

Pet care experience

I offer a highly attentive, adaptive, and active environment for your dog, backed by over nine years of dedicated, hands-on experience. Raising my own dog, Toby, gave me a deep understanding of complex canine needs. He was reactive, which taught me how to read body language, advocate for a dog's space, and safely manage environments so he could still enjoy a life full of hiking and cross-country adventures. As he aged, I gained extensive experience in senior care, navigating his slowed pace and confidently managing canine epilepsy, including precise medication administration. In addition to caring for my own dog, I have a long history of pet sitting for family and friends. Whether your dog is an active adventurer who wants to hit the trails or a senior who prefers a quiet day on the couch, I tailor my care to their specific pace and personality. What Sets Me Apart: - Proximity to Alki Beach & Trails: We love taking dogs on outings to nearby Alki Beach or local hikes, making us a great fit for high-energy dogs who thrive outdoors. - Deep Respect for Boundaries: Because of my experience with a reactive dog, I never force interactions. If your dog is anxious, selective, or uncomfortable in crowded spaces, I strictly respect their boundaries and keep them in environments where they feel safe.

Rachelle and Jon were hands down one of the best Rovers we have worked with. So incredibly locating and sweet to our pup, very communicative and great photos! We could not recommend them enough!!

Rachelle and Jonathan took such great care of Teddy! They were incredibly communicative throughout his stay, sending updates and lots of photos, which gave me so much peace of mind. They even took him to the beach, and it was clear from the pictures that he was having an absolute blast. It was obvious that they genuinely cared about making sure he had a fun and enjoyable time. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for caring, reliable sitters, and I wouldn’t hesitate to book with them again!

Rachelle has been wonderful with Baxter and Hugo. She is incredibly loving, responsible, and attentive, and it’s clear how much she genuinely cares about dogs. She keeps them active with frequent walks and hikes, makes sure their needs are fully taken care of, and is always responsive to any requests or updates. I really appreciate how communicative she is and how consistently she keeps me posted on how they’re doing. Baxter and Hugo are always happy and well cared for with Rachelle, and I’d wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy, active, and caring dog sitter.
