Pet care experience

Welcome To the Barbells Barkyard, where we have something for everyone! Whether your dog is crazy energetic or laid back and wants to snooooze, we are for you! we play often in the backyard but my 9 yr old also created a little oasis in his room for the dogs who prefer less space. we always make sure their comfort comes first! We have cared for animals our entire lives and have always known wanted to work with animals in some capacity so when we discovered rover, this became the perfect path for both my wife and i! We are both AVID animal lovers and treat each furbaby like family! we are both home full time and will seldomly leave them alone/if at all. We both know CPR and basic first aid for animals. A typical day will include lots of play time both inside and outside, enrichment activities (such as a ball pit, sniff spots, etc), water play time (if they feel so inclined :) ). we also provide treats- all 1 ingredient, healthy options so we do not upset their tummies, lots of bed options, allow them on the couches if you are okay with that, and all the toys they can dream of. we clean and sanitize the entire house daily and we ask for each client to be on flea meds to prevent any unwanted friends :) Our primary goal is to help the people of our community be able to have BOTH great loving top dollar care that you are confident in AND is affordable. We pride ourselves on our flexibility and make sure to send lots of pictures and videos throughout the stay.

This was my first time using this service we had to find a dog sitter at the last minute due to an unexpected emergency trip, and I honestly could not have asked for a better experience. From the very beginning, they were professional, kind, and incredibly accommodating during a stressful situation. Lucky, was well cared for and absolutely had a blast during his stay. One thing that gave me so much peace of mind was the constant communication. I received regular updates, photos, and messages, which reassured me that Lucky was safe, happy, and getting plenty of attention and love. It’s obvious they genuinely care about the pets they watch and treat them like family rather than just another booking. When I picked Lucky up, he was happy, relaxed, and clearly enjoyed his time there.

It was my first time having to use a dog sitter. I was really worried for my dog, but they were so great with him. They communicated with me and kept me updated with pictures. They were so sweet when I met them. I will be going to them again.
