My name is Rachel and I would love to help you care for your precious family member! I grew up with dogs (currently have a sweet 5 year old dog) and have always been my community's go-to person for pet-sitting. I love getting to know each dog and understanding their likes and dislikes, making sure they are comfortable in their surroundings, and giving them plenty of mental and physical stimulation to keep them happy and healthy. I am always happy to send as many photo/video updates as you'd like so you have peace of mind that your furry family member is doing well!

I have booked Rachel to take care of my dog Daryl several times. He is afraid of new people but every time I drop him off with Rachel he is so excited to see her! Rachel is very patient with nervous dogs and she is a reliable sitter, we are very lucky to have found her!

Rachel and her boyfriend were such great caretakers of our King Charles Cavalier Bowie! When the week leading up to my brother’s wedding proved itself to be too hectic, Rachel was open to taking care of Bowie for 6 days, relatively last minute. She organised a meet and greet to make sure he was comfortable with her and her lovely pup Evvie, she was flexible with timing, and provided great updates during his entire stay. Bowie loved staying with Rachel and was so happy to have Evvie around for extra company. It was such a relief to know that Bowie was well looked after and I could focus on the wedding festivities. Would definitely recommend Rachel and would love to have her and her boyfriend look after Bowie again!

Schedule
I work remotely from home so at the moment, my life is pretty conducive to boarding pets! I will be home with your dog most of the day and can give them a potty break every 1-3 hours (or more often as needed), in addition to a longer morning and evening walk. If your dog enjoys more exercise, I’d take them on hikes in the many parks in the area.

I have a very friendly 5 year old dog who will keep your pet company and many toys to keep them entertained at home. I also live close to multiple Oakland parks for longer walks/hikes with your dog.

A typical day
I always make sure to give dogs in my care plenty of mental and physical stimulation. We would either take a long walk on one of the hiking trails in the area or we can play fetch (or another active game) at a park with them.
