Pet care experience
Hi, my name is Rachel, the heart behind Whalen’s Pet Care. Growing up on a farm in Iowa, I’ve been surrounded by animals my whole life. After 15 years as a professional groomer, I’ve dedicated myself to pet sitting, offering personalized care for your furry family members. Whether you need a drop-in visit or a cozy overnight stay, I treat each pet like my own. Plus, I’m fully insured for your peace of mind. My husband Shawn is also a pet sitter and is insured under my PSI policy. I also am happy to provide plenty of references from satisfied clients. I can’t wait to meet your best friend and give them the love and care they deserve.

Reviews
I have two cats and recently went on a week long trip. Rachel took the absolute best care of my kitties! She sent me pictures on every drop in and brushed my long hair cat which is my cats favorite thing in the world! Also, I came home to the most wonder and thoughtful gift of a framed picture of the cats! I can not recommend her enough, she is absolutely amazing!
Rachel has taken care of my two Australian shepherds on two occasions now. Both have been overnight stays with drop-ins during the day. She's so good with both of my dogs who each have their own behavioral issues! My dogs really like her. She's very thorough and follows your instructions to the letter. She keeps in great contact and sends pictures throughout the day. I never have to worry if she's made it to the house. She keeps them active and happy! I don't worry about the pups when I am away now. I will definitely be hiring her again!
Rachel is my go to girl for my dog Sophie! She always does a great job and I am at peace knowing my dog is well taken care of.
Rachel is an excellent dog sitter. We were away and had her stay with our dog for 2 nights. She sent many updates and pictures, which I really appreciated. Our boy looked like he was very well taken care of. I will definitely be using her services in the future.
