I’m unable to host pets in my home as I live in shared accommodation, but I’m happy to travel for pet sitting services. I understand that leaving a beloved pet with someone new can be difficult, so I’m happy to arrange a meet and greet beforehand to ensure you and your pet feel comfortable. Please let me know if your pet has any special requirements be that medical, or behavioural. Particularly with dogs I would like to know how they behaviour on walks - Do they like other dogs? What is their recall like? Should I keep them on the lead at all times? How are they with children?
A typical day
I’m a keen runner, so if your dog enjoys running, I’d be happy to take them along for some extra exercise. I’m also working my way through the Wainwrights in the Lake District and would love a four-legged companion on my walks. Whether it’s walks, runs, games, or relaxing on the sofa after a day of adventures, I’ll make sure your pet is happy, active, and well cared for.

Pet care experience
I've always had pets and love caring for both cats and dogs. I grew up with cats, so I have more experience with them, but I'm equally happy looking after dogs. I currently work as an NHS Dietitian in Cumbria and pet sitting is the perfect way to spend more time with animals. Since moving from Australia, I've really missed my two cats, Bonnie and Sassy, so I'd love to care for your pets as if they were my own. I'm reliable, caring, and will make sure your pets feel safe, happy, and well looked after while you're away.

I've known Rachel for over a year now and she has provided great care for my Whippet Bessie. Rachel is loving and gentle with her, and has done several overnight stays to look after her and each time Bessie has been well looked after and very content. In fact Bessie loves her so much she is more excited to see Rachel than she is to see me sometimes! Rachel has walked her several times for me and has even taken her out on a hike on a weekend I was too busy and Bessie looked like she had a great time (and a great sleep afterwards). Bessie can't wait for the next girls weekend together!
