Rachel can care for
Availability
I will have a part-time internship near Maryville this summer, as well as an online summer class. I will have plenty of time to care for your pets around these activities! I can work half-shifts at my internship (~4 hours) and all I need for my class is Wi-Fi access and somewhere to sit.

Safety, trust & environment
I am familiar with giving dogs medications, even the reluctant dogs. I am also well-versed in dog body language and behavior, and am comfortable dealing with pets who are fearful. I am not afraid of large dogs! I love the big dogs, and am comfortable with breeds up to and including Great Danes, Mastiffs, Wolfhounds, Newfies, etc. I am used to dog training as well, and am more than willing to maintain any training rules you may have for your dog. My personal dog is a certified therapy dog (she will not be accompanying while dogsitting). I love training, but have no certifications, just dog training kennel experience.
Information Rachel W. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your dog has any quirks, fun or otherwise! These could be related to any fears they have, places they don't like being touched, or things they are used to you doing that a new person may not think to do.
A typical day
I do my best to maintain your current routine, and would enjoy loving on your dogs, taking them for walks, playing with them in your yard, etc.

Pet care experience
I've been dogsitting since I could drive at 16. I have worked at multiple kennels, one specializing in young, high-energy working dogs, and the other specializing in aggressive and fear-reactive dogs with bite histories. I have also dogsat for dogs with bite histories, high-energy breeds, low-energy breeds, dogs with health issues, dogs who have had no training, and dogs who have had lots of training.
Reviews

Rachel was awesome. Our dog was very difficult with her. He wouldn’t let her near him the first day, but she stuck it out and he had hertaking him on walks and she was giving him belly rubs by the time she left.
I not only have had Rachel watch my two dogs but I also worked with her at a boarding facility. She is very caring and thorough. We felt so bad when we had storms while we were gone but she handled it all very well. She is very knowledgeable of dogs. I would highly recommend Rachel to anyone.
Rachel cared for our 3 year old boxer in the summer of 2025, for 2 weeks. Boxers can be a handful, and Rachel stepped up to the challenge beautifully. She played with her, loved on her, kept a good feeding schedule and routine while we were gone. She also exercised Riley with walks down our road. I had no concerns with the care our dog was given while we were gone, which was a huge blessing. All of this, in addition to regular unsolicited updates from Rachel, allows me to recommend her with full confidence that she will be an excellent pet caregiver. I would hire her again with no reservations.
