For years I have been involved with numerous animal organizations & have worked in both the animal shelter and animal clinic setting. I have also loved providing private animal care to owners of many different species. I have special interests in animal behavior & medicine, animal enrichment & training, and rescue/sheltering. Since I was a child I have been around animals and have always been drawn to them. I find them very easy to connect with and am more than willing to take the time to adjust my care to them and learn their individual wants/needs. I offer check-in services to include (but not limited to) feeding, enrichment, grooming, & chores as needed. Please reach out if you have any questions regarding a special circumstance that you may have. I'm more than happy to help if I'm able! I am available Sunday through Saturday for drop-ins, walks, and things of the like. I am able to be flexible with your family's schedule and specific needs. We can play with a favorite toy, go for a walk, or even continue your work on basic training & obedience. I would like to keep your animal's routine as regular/normal as possible while you are away, in order to help ensure their comfortability. I am able to care for your animals in the way that you and/or your family would want and in the way that they are most used to. I have a great deal of experience working with many kinds of animals- all of which had their own temperaments, personalities, and needs. I love staying busy & enjoy spending time outside, especially during nice weather! So if you have a dog that likes to play fetch or go on sniff & exploration walks, then it sounds like it's time for us to make friends! Cats are near and dear to me as well! I love their individual personalities and getting to know them. Whether your cat(s) is social and playful or shy and independent- I can accomodate them. During our booking, you can expect updates and photos as much or as little as you would prefer, and can count on returning home from work or your trip to happy pets/animals, with a new friend named Rachel. Since I am able to dedicate my full-time to animal care, it allows me to be very accomodating to your pets schedule and individual needs. Most of my days truly do revolve around animals! I wouldn't have it any other way. Your beloved animals will be provided with individual attention, enrichment, and care while under my watch. I can take it easy and relax, but I'm also down for an adventure and some exercise! I love getting to know the animal's personality and making sure that they are comfortable. I can adjust my care based on the animal and what they may need at a particular time.
