About this sitter: Hi, I am a special education teacher and adore dogs. I have had family dogs growing up and can’t wait to have my very own one day. Until then, I am the perfect babysitter! I live in a single family home in Bethesda. I have a small fenced in yard and plenty of quiet neighborhood sidewalks behind my home. I really enjoy running so if your dog likes to go on a run/jog, I am more than happy to accommodate. I prefer dogs that are house trained, get along with cats, and don’t bark too much. I do work during the week, except for holidays. I typically leave my home around 6am in the morning and return around 3pm. Please don’t hesitate to email me with questions. I look forward to speaking with you about the opportunity of entertaining and caring for you loved one! Best, Rachel

I would want to know your dogs routine, temperament, likes/dislikes, etc. Anything that will be helpful in making your dog feel safe, comfortable, and at ease with me.
A typical day
Here's where we'll take our walks Behind my house are miles of quiet neighborhood streets that are ideal for a dog walk or jog. There are also many accessible parks as well. I like to run on the Crescent Trail so that is another possibility. Your dog's sleeping arrangement Your dog will sleep where he/she is most comfortable. I want to make sure their routine is as normal as possible. That means, if your dog is used to sleeping with you, they are more than welcome to share my queen size bed. :) Time I'll spend with your dog This depends on their normal routine and if it is a week night or week night. I do work from 7-4 M-F, and generally my weekends are free for the most part.

Rachel was awesome. I felt totally comfortable leaving my dog Ophelia with her, and Ophelia came home happy and well-taken care of. Rachel was also great about staying in touch and keeping my posted about how Ophelia was doing while I was away.

Great service and did a great job keeping me updated! will definitely be back.

Beacon had a wonderful time staying close to home with Rachel. They seemed to have a great time and she kept us updated on his weekend as well. She wanted to keep his regiment as close to normal as possible which is always nice for a dog going into a new environment. Def. will be using her again.

Rachel was delightful to work with. We dropped off Sire worry-free, confident that he would be well cared for. We loved getting updates and photos during her stay. Overall, a great experience and we recommend highly.
