A loving & comfortable home for your adored pet
My boyfriend and I have looked after many of our friends and families dogs in recent years since buying our first home. He has grown up with numerous family dogs and all of his extended family own dogs - which can make Christmas a bit hectic! I have grown up around family with dogs and have always loved animals so volunteered at a cat & dog rescue centre in Cambodia for 2 weeks which was such a rewarding experience. We plan to rescue a dog ourselves in the next few years but our current lifestyle and holidays mean it's just not quite the right time for a dog of our own but we would love to still have dogs in our lives regularly and being able to provide a home that other owner's dogs are welcomed in and feel comfortable in provides the perfect opportunity for us.

Rachel took good care of George and Red at very short notice as I had to travel to London for work. They were well looked after and I received updates during their stay.

Schedule
I work from home full time with flexible hours so can happily take long lunches and ensure furry friends are kept enriched and entertained. We always ensure our plans fit into what a dog is comfortable with. Whether that be them joining us on our plans for a walk in the Peak District or Sunday lunch at the pub or they might prefer a calm weekend at home while we potter around the garden.

Safety, trust & environment
We have a fairly large garden that is fully enclosed with plenty of space for running around. We’re very flexible with your dogs needs and have looked after dogs that require crates for sleeping, happy to sleep on the sofa, sleep on their bed upstairs next to us, or happy to keep themselves on their bed in the kitchen. We have an open plan kitchen/dining room with patio doors out into the garden which we’ve found to be a really wonderful set up for dogs.
A typical day
We're very active people and will happily swap an evening gym class for a long walk as well as making sure there is time for exercise first thing in the morning or over lunch. I really enjoy doing a bit of training with dogs (although I'm no expert!) so friends and family's dogs have often gone home with a new trick up their sleeves. Weekend activities can be as active or as calm as needed for your dog to enjoy their time with us.
