I have been passionate about animals my entire life and have now been working full-time as a professional pet sitter for over three years. My experience started at the age of ten, when I began working at an equestrian facility, training and caring for horses. My love for being around animals led to numerous pet sitting opportunities to stay connected with them in my every-day life. I also volunteered as a dog walker at my local animal shelter, where I gained valuable skills by completing courses in dog training. With this diverse background, I am confident in my ability to provide the highest level of care for your pet.

Rachel walked my dog, Oso when I had to travel for work. He’s not used to being home alone since I work from home. So Rachel took him on walks daily for me while my husband was in the office all day. She was super flexible when we had to adjust timing!! Also she sent the best pictures and updates!
She was so sweet and took great care of my dog!

Our Old Dog Starboy is on Medication and quite fragile. He is a 60 lb bulldog. I was worried about leaving him for a week. After contacting Rachael V. She reassured me that she was very capable of dealing with his special needs. I am happy to say that Starboy had a great week Rachael sent lots of texts with pictures and I’m sure Star really enjoyed his stay.
I recommend Rachel to anyone in need of a dog sitter! Rachel follows all instructions perfectly, is so great with my Daisy, shares great updates and photos, and is very communicative. I appreciated how thorough she was getting our information (vets, routines, allergies) which is a nod to her experience and added to my trust in her service. I’ve now booked with her around 10 times and have complete confidence trusting her with my baby :) Daisy is 9 with both IVDD & IBD. We’ve had almost exclusively negative experiences with dog sitters in the past, so I have been very apprehensive about finding a sitter. Once I saw Rachel had amazing reviews, I took a leap of faith and am so glad I did! I can finally leave my house for longer than a few hours with total peace of mind :)

Schedule
This is my full-time job so my schedule allows plenty of time to care for your pet! I am flexible and willing to work with you to ensure their needs are met.

Safety, trust & environment
I live in a dog-friendly apartment complex with a park in the back and the beach just a short walk away! The neighborhood is very walkable and there are lots of great routes for walks if your dog is staying with me. My apartment has lots of space for your pet to run around and I have ensured that it is completely pet-safe.
A typical day
I will take your dog for walks around the neighborhood daily. We will spend lots of time at the park and play tons of games! Feel free to bring their favorite toys, along with any beds or blankets that will make them feel right at home.

Are they crate trained?
