When caring for pets in a client's home, my priority is to keep their routine as consistent as possible. I'll follow your feeding schedule, provide fresh water, administer oral or topical medications if needed, clean litter boxes or pick up waste, take dogs on walks, and make sure every pet gets the level of attention, play, and affection they're comfortable with. Whether your pet loves to cuddle, play fetch, chase a wand toy, or simply nap nearby, I'll tailor my care to their personality and needs. I also understand that I'm caring for both your pets and your home. I'll treat your home with the utmost respect, keep it clean and secure, bring in mail or packages if requested, water plants, and provide regular photo and text updates so you can enjoy your time away with peace of mind. My goal is for you to return home to happy pets, healthy plants, and a home that's just as you left it.

I highly recommend Rae Vaughn as a pet sitter. She took wonderful care of my pets while I was in New York. She visited them twice a day, made sure my kitty, Candy, received her medication twice daily, and gave her lots of care and attention. She also did an amazing job with my nervous dog, Essie, who is usually very timid around people. Rae was patient, kind, and gentle, and both of my animals quickly became comfortable with her. Knowing they were in such caring and capable hands gave me real peace of mind while I was away. Rae is dependable, compassionate, and truly cares about the animals she looks after. Rachel has cared for my two dogs on two different weekend occasions, and I couldn’t recommend her more highly. My dogs have completely different needs—my 7½-year-old Yorkie, Topekeli, is full of energy and needs multiple walks at the park each day to burn it off, while my 15-year-old Chorkie, Dankers, was blind and deaf and required extra patience, gentleness, and specialized care. Rachel handled both of their very different personalities and needs with genuine love and compassion. Leaving my dogs with someone has never been easy for me, but Rachel quickly earned my complete trust. She has an incredibly kind heart, is dependable, patient, and truly treats animals like family. She also took wonderful care of my home—everything was exactly as I left it. She’s clean, respectful, organized, and incredibly considerate. It took me a long time to find someone as reliable and responsible as Rachel, and I feel incredibly fortunate that I did. In fact, I already have her booked to stay with Topekeli for 24 hours during my daughter’s wedding, which says everything about the confidence I have in her. I can't recommend Rachel highly enough for pet sitting and house sitting. She has been absolutely wonderful with my eight-month-old Labrador puppy, Sesame Bean. She's incredibly loving and patient, but she also knows how to set healthy boundaries and keep my curious puppy from getting into trouble. I have complete confidence that Sesame Bean is not only happy and well cared for, but also safe and supervised while I'm away. I feel at ease having Rachel in my home. I know my house and belongings are treated with respect, which gives me real peace of mind when I travel. Schedule
Caring for animals has always been a natural part of my daily life. As a small business owner and licensed massage therapist, I have a flexible schedule that allows me to plan my day around the pets in my care. When house sitting, I prioritize maintaining your pet's normal routine, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, medications, and plenty of companionship. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my own pets and caring for my houseplants, so tending to a home while you're away feels like a natural extension of my everyday routine. My goal is to provide a calm, consistent presence so your pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved until you return home.
