I have been around animals, especially cats and dogs, my whole life. I grew up always having pets in the house along with others outdoors. I worked as a Vet Technician while I was in high school in the Northern Illinois / Southern Wisconsin area. While in the Navy, I would pet sit for fellow sailors who would be gone for days to weeks at a time. Once I returned to the Wisconsin / Illinois area, I would volunteer to fill in at a friends Veterinary Clinic when personnel would be out on vacation. I'm comfortable with giving medications (pills, liquids, shots, etc.) and various food types including regular kibble to custom food mixes. Growing up with animals, looking after family members pets, and all of the experiences since have given me unique view regarding taking care of animals. As a Navy veteran who would be gone several months at a time I know how it feels to have to leave your four legged family member in someone else's care. This is why I take pride in looking after others pets with care, compassion and with love because that is how I would want my fur babies to be looked after.
