I am a full-time student, and have a flexible job. This makes for a reasonably consistent schedule that I can plan accordingly around. Naturally, I will check in as often as my schedule allows (I can make time as often as every few hours) and as often as you deem necessary (within reason). My weekends are largely free and flexible, so I am able to provide the best care at all times.

I live in a house with a large open backyard in a rather quiet neighborhood (perfect for walks!). I do live among 2 cats, 1 of whom is rather skittish and non-confrontational as well as 1 who is insatiably curious and playful. Your pets are in no danger from them. I would greatly prefer to just visit your home for the comfort and general safety of all parties, but will try to meet whatever needs or preferences you may have. You’re the owner—you know what’s best for your animals. Feedings, medications, exercise, grooming, and quality time, and whatever else will be given in whatever amounts and frequency you ask. If at any time you get a hunch, trust your gut! I will reassure you at any time with pictures and updates; your trust and animals’ safety are invaluable to me. To further put your at ease, I have a very responsible housemate who is often home when I am not and would not let anything unusual or worrying go unattended. If you happen to forget any supplies (it happens), I would not let the quality in your pet’s care waver. Having pets, the peace of mind I get from knowing something as preventable and fixable as forgetting a bag of kibble or a leash would be taken care of is a lifesaver, and I would be remiss to not extend that to fellow pet owners. Information Rachel S. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your pet has any special needs or temperaments that I should be mindful of. I do require meet-ups prior to finalization of any bookings and am unable to take on excessively aggressive, violent, or rebellious animals. Unexpected and undisclosed time added onto a previously agreed upon arrangement are subject to price adjustment, which will be discussed between the owner and I should the circumstance arise. As I have other people and animals’ well beings to consider, I cannot accept any animals experiencing sickness or symptoms thereof. I am also not a medical professional and hope if anything alarming seems to be afflicting your pet you would immediately consult a veterinarian and permit me to do the same.
A typical day
This, will of course vary with the dog(s) and their respective energy levels as well as my observation on what they seem to enjoy. That being said, I try to provide affection when it’s wanted, ample play time with toys, or if they prefer quiet relaxed time in front of a tv or just outside I am happy to keep them company. If you know of any spots they enjoy let me know and I’ll try to make time for it :) I have treats I give out often (with your permission) Cats I’ve found I can do pretty much anything for, and if there are any needs or specifications that fall outside of the standard just communicate with me. No need will go unmet. And again, if you let me know what they like doing, just be sure to tell me and I’ll make them feel as at home as I’m able

I do plants and house-sitting too! This is a somewhat lengthy read; I would like to be as thorough as possibly by covering information you need to know as well as pertinent info you might like to have. As a long time animal lover, I’ve been petsitting since I could drive. I’ve taken care of dogs of all sizes and temperaments, cats, and other animals as well. I have looked after animals my whole life and plan to continue doing so, your pets are in good hands. I will do everything in my ability to see to that your precious companion(s) are cared for, safe, and comfortable. This includes walks and I will do my best to accommodate any special requests you may have. I know odd and unexpected situations pop up all the time, from family emergencies to last minute date nights, and while my notice preference is typically at least two days, I promise to hear anything out and give it careful consideration. Don’t be scared to ask me any questions!

She was the best with my Lucy girl! I have never left her for a week, or with anyone who wasn’t family. Safe to say I was nervous, but Rachel kept me updated with pictures and videos that eased my mind, and made me feel included while i was away! Highly recommend!

Amazing sitter!! Rachel left us so many photos and videos when she was with Tigger, communication was great, and she really took care of our boy! He warmed up to her (which he hardly ever does) and I would trust her 1000% to watch him again!!
