Rachel has taken care of my two dogs, Athena and Bo, multiple times, and I genuinely cannot recommend her enough. To put it nicely, neither of my dogs is exactly “easy.” Bo is a lovable menace. He is incredibly high energy, jumps all over you, will absolutely steal your food if given the opportunity, and generally believes that personal space and rules are optional. He requires a lot of attention, patience, and stimulation to keep him out of trouble. Athena is the complete opposite, but equally challenging in her own way. She is extremely anxious and very selective about the people she trusts. She doesn’t like most people and needs someone who is confident, patient, and able to read her boundaries while still making her feel safe and comfortable. Both of them absolutely LOVE Rachel. They get more excited to see her than they do almost anyone else. Bo loses his mind when she comes over, and the fact that Athena genuinely trusts and gets excited to see her says more than any review I could write. Rachel handles all of their quirks without batting an eye. I never have to worry about whether Bo is being too much or whether Athena is feeling comfortable because I know Rachel understands both of them and genuinely cares about them. Having someone I can completely trust with my two very different, slightly ridiculous dogs is such a relief. If you have easy, well-behaved pets, Rachel will obviously be wonderful. If you have dogs who are a little weird, anxious, chaotic, or occasionally assholes, I can personally confirm she’s great with those too. 😂 We are so lucky to have her, and Athena and Bo would probably give her 10/10 stars if they could.

I have known Rachel for several years, and she was the only one I trusted with my cat, Ruby, as Ruby was quite elderly, lived to be 20 years old and needed medication.. Ruby loved Rachel's gentle way with her and was always happy to see her. In fact, I would venture to say sometimes she loved her as much as she did me. Rachel took her for walks in her stroller (!), cooked her a few jumbo shrimp in the microwave (!) if I asked and was super carful that she would not excape. Her litter box was well cared for and my apt was in excellent condition. I am very picky about care, as I am an RN, but you will have nothing to worry about if you leave your pet in her care. I trust her completely.
