Information Rachel S. would like to know about your pet

The most important information to know about a dog is their interest in social interaction and level of confidence. This determines what activity we would take part in, whether they need to get energy out at a dog park socializing with many other dogs, or whether a quiet walk down a trail or walking through town to meet more people is most appropriate. The experience is entirely for the dog's benefit so I would only bring them where they are most comfortable.

A typical day

It really depends on the dog! I am used to cuddle bugs who want to just be pet for hours as much as I am used to dogs that need to sprint down the park after a tennis ball. I would prefer to get an idea of what the dog prefers to determine what activity to do from the owner so that I'm only doing what's best for the pet in question. Not having a dog of my own currently, I love hiking trails and walking through town and it's so much nicer to have a four-legged companion to take along.

Pet care experience

I'm experienced caring for and handling a wide variety of pets and am currently a wildlife biologist located in the Petaluma area. I am an animal person through and through! I understand how hectic life can get and as I don't have any walkable companions of my own, I'm glad to lend a hand whenever you need the help!

Rachel is great with our dog. She demonstrates patience with my very active little guy. Rachel is friendly and a good communicator. I appreciate that she was able to accommodate a drop-in/walk visit on relatively short notice. I highly recommend Rachel.

We’re so grateful we found Rachel to drop in on our sweet little Syrah. She was awesome and let him out for potty breaks while we attended a wedding during the day! Loved all the photos and can’t wait to book with Rachel again. Thank you!
