I believe every pet is happiest when their normal routine is maintained, so I take the time to learn each pet’s schedule, preferences, and individual needs. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, I provide plenty of attention, exercise, playtime, enrichment, and affection while ensuring they feel safe and comfortable. I closely follow feeding schedules, medication instructions, and any special care requirements. I’m attentive to body language and behavior changes, allowing me to adapt my care to each pet’s personality and comfort level. As someone who enjoys learning about breed-specific traits and needs, I understand that every dog is different and strive to provide care that matches their energy level and temperament. My goal is to give pet parents the same peace of mind I would want, by treating every animal as if they were my own and keeping them happy, healthy, and loved while you’re away.

Pet care experience
Animals have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I’ve cared for dogs, cats, horses, and a variety of farm animals, giving me experience with pets of all sizes, personalities, and care needs. Although I’ve always cared for pets of friends and family, I am excited to now care for pets at a more professional level through Rover! I’m a bit of a dog breed nerd and genuinely enjoy learning about breed-specific traits, behaviors, and enrichment needs. Whether your pup is a high-energy working breed that needs extra exercise or a laid-back companion who loves cuddles, I tailor my care to what makes them happiest and most comfortable. When your pet is with me, they’ll be treated like family. I believe every animal deserves patience, attention, and plenty of love, and I care for every pet as if they were my own.

Reviews
Rachel sent us a photo every day and put out a fresh can of wet food for our cat, but unfortunately only stayed for a fraction of the time that we had expected (13min, 9min, 5min, 12min, and 5min instead of the 30min we had booked). We're used to our Rover sitters staying for the full time to play with/help give social contact to our cat, so we were surprised by this and maybe need to be more explicit in the future. Separately, in the future we recommend other Rover customers to be clear/detailed about care instructions to not repeat our mistake: we didn't explicitly ask her to scoop the litter but when we came back the litterbox was pretty full and it seemed like it hadn't been tended to since we had left the house.
Rachel came and watched my household of pets for me. We have three dogs and three cats. She was so sweet with all of them, and I truly felt like she treated them all like her own. She was attentive, sent me pictures and updates, and kept in touch while we were gone. I would allow Rachel to watch my babies any day!
I cannot recommend Rachel enough! She has taken care of my pups for several years and, other than my parents, she is the only person I trust with Crush and Nash. She’s so sweet and caring and honestly treats them like her own. They absolutely LOVE her and go crazy every time they see her. And anyone who knows Nash, knows he is not one to greet just anyone, much less become a bit ball of excitement 🤣 1000000% recommend Rachel, no questions asked!
