Happy Tails Doggy Daycare/Overnight
Welcome to Happy Tails, your pup's home away from home! We all know how stressful large daycares and kennel facilities can be, so my mission is to provide a home style, open environment where your fur baby is safe to play and rest. With a maximum of 8 dogs and a careful screening process, your dog will get the attention and care they need. This is a safe home for LGBTQIA+/BIPOC people. In the Before-times, I volunteered regularly at the Humane Society of Western MT where I practiced positive-reinforcement training and on-leash walks. Most recently, I worked at one of Missoulas leading daycares where I would look after up to 50 dogs at any given time!

Schedule
Overnight boarding is available for 3 dogs at time. 4 daycare slots are available - please check for availability. I do have a PT Job where I have to be away from the house for 5 hours on Thurs, Fri and every other Wednesday. I do not offer daycare on these days. Boarding dogs must be able to be left unattended for a couple hours at a time as dogs can only be walked two at a time.

Safety, trust & environment
My house is centrally located in Missoula for easy access. I have a large fenced yard and a medium-sized doggy door for quick in and out access during the day. There are no kids in my house, just roommates. I have a limit of boarding 3 dogs/night while daycare has a limit of 4. This allows me to keep a close eye on the pack and ensure attention to detail. Rose is a 3 year old Pointing Griffon and she gets along great with other dogs. She is very playful and would love a wrestling buddy. We also have a fenced chicken coop with 6 hens and another fenced area for our 2 beehives. They are well protected, but if your dog is prone to bird hunting/digging, our yard may be stress-inducing.

A typical day
I have a large fence yard where I supervise playtime. We play tug and lots of fetch. Rose takes take great pride in tuckering out her friends with wrestling and chase. We take Walks around the neighborhood are available 2 at a time for additional mental stimulation for $10. When it's cold or rainy, we'll usually stay indoors. We've got a big couch if your pup likes to snuggle; otherwise we can practice/learn tricks or play hide-and-seek.
