Pet care experience

Dogs, cats, ferrets, and rats!

Hello! I‘m Rachel, by day I’m the Packaging Quality Specialist at Sierra Nevada Brewing Co, but by morning and night I’m taking care of your pets! I have two dogs and two cats at home, and I have helped tend to the river otters, raptors, and amphibians at the WNC Nature Center, so if you have it as a pet, chances are I can tend to it. I feel comfortable administering medication, and am more than happy to prepare special meals for animals with specific diets. I go the extra mile for any animal in need, and will ensure that you are comfortable leaving your furry (or scaly) companion under my watch!

Rachel was so sweet and easy to work with despite a last minute booking on our end. She took great care watching over my baby while I was gone, I would have her come back in an instant!

We can't say enough good things about Rachel and her care of our sweet mini-Border Collie, Max. She was immediately responsive when we requested her through Rover; was professional, punctual and friendly when we met at our house to have her meet Max and learn what needed to be done with him (walking and feeding him twice a day) and the house while we were away; and she updated us continuously while we were gone. She was in touch with us immediately when Max appeared to be under the weather, describing behaviors and symptoms without causing us alarm, but with definite concern and a seasoned eye for what seemed to be normal and what was not. We really appreciated her professionalism and her good common sense, and it was clear to us she had taken good care of Max while we were absent. The house looked great when we returned too. We would use her again without hesitation! Thank you Rachel!!! :)

Rachel did a great job taking care of our pets while we were away for the week. She was very communicative and it made our trip so much easier to know they were being well cared for. We'd ask Rachel to come back again in a heartbeat!

With two dogs who have to stay separated in the house, we were very happy to find someone who was completely comfortable with that. Rachel took great care of them, being patient as they grew comfortable with her, taking them on a walk, and of course keeping them safe. She was communicative and responsive, which we also appreciated. We would recommend her to a friend.

I work Monday-Friday, 2:00pm-10:30pm, and I’m able to walk and feed your animal before work, and after I get off as they need! If you live within five miles of Sierra Nevada I can pop over in the middle of the day as well.
