I’ve been caring for animals for as long as I can remember. Growing up on an acreage surrounded by dogs, cats, and farm animals taught me responsibility, compassion, and how to understand animal behavior from a young age. That foundation has grown into years of hands-on experience with pets of all kinds, including senior animals, high-energy breeds, and those with special needs. What sets me apart is my calm, attentive approach and genuine love for animals. I’m confident handling a variety of personalities, experienced in administering medications, and trained in basic pet first aid. Whether your pet needs a long walk, playtime, or gentle companionship, I tailor my care to meet their individual needs, always with safety and kindness at the heart of it.

When caring for pets in their own home, I prioritize creating a calm, familiar environment where they feel safe and secure. I follow your pet’s routine as closely as possible, whether that means regular feeding schedules, playtime, walks, or quiet companionship. I’m respectful of your home, keeping everything clean and tidy while giving your pets the care and attention they deserve. On walks and during quick visits for pee breaks, I always keep safety top of mind, staying alert to surroundings and following any special instructions you provide. I take time to build trust with each pet so they feel comfortable and happy in my care. Clear communication with pet owners is also important to me, so you’ll always be updated with messages or photos while you’re away.

We just had Rachel stay with our 2 pups for a few days over Christmas and she was so great! Gave lots of love to the dogs, Great communication, kept the house in great condition. Will definitely be using her again in the future!

Rachel was great with our loud obnoxious, fearful dogs. She followed instructions on how to meet them and they loved her. Our house was also exactly as we left it.
Rachel was fantastic. She was on time and focused on caring for my dog. She walked my dog as discussed, she was observant to small details, and took my dog to the vet when needed. Her communication was excellent. I highly recommend Rachel
Rachel was great through the whole process - very communicative and flexible. She worked with our Gunner’s unique needs and was able to make some progress with his pulling on leash! She sent lots of photos and spent quality time with Gunner. It’s clear she has a real compassion for animals and we felt comfortable having her around to watch Gunner when we were away. We would book her again if and whenever needed!

Schedule
I work Monday to Thursday from 8:15-4:00 and Fridays from 9–2:00, which still leaves me plenty of free time before and after work, as well as evenings and weekends, to dedicate to pet care. This makes me available for dog walks, pee breaks, and drop-in visits outside of my work hours, plus more flexible time on Fridays and weekends. I’m happy to plan around your pet’s routine so they get the consistency, love, and attention they need.
